Some people say it's arcade-style and easy to handle, and then you see these things. If he has those issues with the steering wheel, I can't even imagine what it's like using the controller.

Eh, anyone who says it's arcade style doesn't know what they're taking about, going against the grain is just the click bait they need. Very few people I trust to make judgements with setups they aren't familiar with.

I'm hearing more people comparing it to iRacing, AC, AMS than I am Grid, Horizon or Ridge Racer.

There are some very purist streamers who can't get their heads out of their asses, and there's nothing better than iRacing, and everything else is worthless. Others say there's a lot of slippage when they're just leaving the pits with the blue wheels. Then there's the issue of the steering wheel setup you have at home, which is completely different from the one in the test, and that's why they notice it worse. I like what I'm seeing, and I'm really looking forward to the multiplayer, which is what made me preorder it.

Its Kireth, the same guy who's constantly baiting viewers with nonsense. Nothing he says should be taken seriously.

I rather wait to try it by myself no faith at all in theses youtubers, I remember painfully the scam with TDU...

I think that if you have enjoyed PCARS physics, you should like this one, I my case I do, I'm not a die hard sim racer, ACC bore me really quick, FM is "flat", GT7 is great but I'm getting bored, I often play PCARS 2 despite his age and flaws, still give me some really good fun !

I hope this new game will be the PCARS3 we all wanted

Sounds like you should try AMS2, its a better project cars at this point. This game really improved a lot in recent time and still gives me a bit of the pcars vibe

Console players are a bit more limited when it comes to sim racing. Even when they get the likes of ACC, it doesn't feel terribly natural with a controller. On the other hand, Forza and GT feel marvellous with a controller. As long as PMR is similar to PCars on a controller, I would be relatively satisfied.

I love GTR 2 and I love Project Cars 2, which naturally makes me very excited about the upcoming Project Motor Racing. After playing a few hours of the early preview version, I am relatively convinced that this will be good and fun. The sense of speed is currently the best in the genre, and there is an accessible feeling of total control in the tire physics that is easy to appreciate, as is the soundscape. At the same time, there is a risk here that Straight 4 has compromised (slightly) on realism, which would be a shame.
I'm a fan of compromises like this. Reality is boring.

lol at "compromised (slightly) on realism" - if its anything like PC2 which it looks like being then there shouldnt be any "compromise" 🤣

Off topic but what are the chances we may see Can-am prototypes in possibly the year 2 roadmap? Barely any games touch on those machines and if im not mistaken FM may be the only true sim type racing game with a somewhat decent lineup of Can-am machines. Would be nice to have those represented more as those truly paved the way for todays prototypes.

I'm a console player but I'm a wheel user ;-)

I sincerely hope so. Imagine modders might get involved in those, but I prefer official content.

New wheel ready to go, getting to grips with it playing ALOT of ACE multiplayer , said it many times but the jump to PC from consoles is the best move I ever made, I realise for many people due to space and finance that a sim rig is simply not possible and I really hope you guys using a controller have just a much fun with this title ☺️

Nice! That's how you do it right there. Even getting into that Yellowtail Shiraz. 😄 🍷

I mean, Super GT driver is Super GT driver, but he still races Super Taikyu. He raced the OHLINS Roadster for a couple years and the team now race an FL5 in OHLINS colours. Cool stuff!

What's the feeling with the new Fanatech wheel? I'm a black friday click away to get it
It’s fantastic and feels so good in the hands, the feedback is spot on, I’m loving it and for the price it’s an absolute steal, you will not be disappointed 👍
