As far as I understand "official" modding need to pass through them, and they will publish to make it available in the game app.
I think this is the thing for all platforms.

It may be, given that the PC is more open that the consoles, that there some shortcut my happen

100% there will be, same with FS25 on PC, there's official and unofficial resources. Consoles will only have access to Official published mods via ModHub.

I imagine the text file based championships and career editing should be pretty straight forward to get approved as long as there aren't any licensing issues with series names, driver names, team names etc.

They mention that it works better for slower cars. I think it will be closer to PC2 than PC3. TBH I think that for controller users it will be a matter of getting use to the game and adjusting to suit what you like

Looks like a lot of adjustments to not only the controller but also FOV which is nice. Reminds me of PC2 in those ways so that's not too bad. Will take some time for sure to get used to that again though.

IMO, if the controller option is offered, then all cars should be manageable with the controller. Going back to PC2 in that regard would be a no-go for me. Even AC EVO has made the effort of making their game very approachable with a controller.

Noticed this in the replay footage at the end, could be artifacting but it kinda looks like dirt has been pulled onto the circuit.

This is a game I've had half an eye on to get down the line, and I'm still interested to see what happens with it. Certainly seems the more promising of the two Nov 2025 sims.

That said, I don't think any of these three recent Overtake videos have been all that flattering to it, at least to my eye, and if S4S did provide them with an early build as people have said I think they'd have been better off waiting a bit for a closer-to-final version.

If we're honest, the bar isn't exactly high with how barebones the other one is in comparison.

I forgot about ACC. I have been able to play that on controller without making changes.

Looking at more gameplay recently including today, it really just looks like a slightly more polished PC2. I mean if you showed me this gameplay without the name PMR I would think its an update for PC2. Not a good or bad thing but not a huge leap either, just looks like Ian Bell's past SMS DNA pumped into this game.

You think this video looks like Project Cars 2? Project Cars 2 looks better than that, at least on PC it does. I know for certain that AMS2 looks better than this. When's the last time you were on Project Cars 2? And what the heck is flying through the air at 3 minutes in? Is that nuclear fallout or something? lol

Lol well I have not played PC2 in about 3 years and that was on a 1080p TV on my old Xbox one standard. To my eyes the car movement, shadows and overall graphics resembles PC2. AMS2 looks great for sure compared to these two other titles

One thing that I notice is a lack of realistic ambient occlusion and PBR shaders. Assets seem to lack in depth pitting and wear. Now I am by no means a proponent of the "graphics first" crowd. I'm all about fizziks, FFB and experience before it looking all pretty.

This red and white curb here really sticks out and the overall feel is kind of gloomy. There isn't a lot of vibrance like PC2 or AMS2 have.

This steering wheel looks plasticy. That air conditioning unit on the right has absolutely no AO or shadow. Basically the lack of AO all over is a tad yucky. This looks like original Assetto Corsa. Before CSP. 😬

I don't think we need to talk about this glove. lol. That is the same shade of blue throughout the whole curve.

Just for reference, a quick picture of AMS2 I found:

I'm not trying to bag on PMR. I'm sure that there will be plenty of updates and fixes. I'm still going to give it a try and use it.

I think it'll be more a case of being able to access to editor files on the Mod Hub (can't remember the actual name) on the website and then doing the edits and uploading it to the central mod platform and downloading it in game via the mod menu accessible on the console versions.

For Farming Simulator you go here and download the Editor or Studio or whatever you need and go from there, presumably PMR will be the same.
Holy hell, sounds like a PIA, but I wouldn't hesitate to try it.

For all you ladies and germs who will be playing this on a controller, what is your preferred camera view? just curious is all, I’d hazard a guess that a lot will use chase cam?

A bit off topic, but this quick exchange about modding on pc leads me to a genuine question.
How can be assured no cheating on pc? How iracing, acc and others dwal with it?

Chase cam. Although I will use bonnet cam when I am unfamiliar with the track. I like to drive slow and see everything

Don't quote me on this as the conversations have been fleeting on the Discord and it hasn't been officially confirmed, but it has been hinted at by devs that mods will be banned from ranked play to ensure parity for everyone. But mods will be able to be used in user created lobbies and leagues etc.
