This really seems like flop seeing those low player Numbers on new game is not a good look. This game was overhyped.
Around 120 people playing on steam and a rating of around 2.23* on PSN

I deleted it after 30 minutes on day 1 and have not re downloaded it and wont I wont support a developer releasing a game in that state. :yuck:

Only good thing for me at least was that PMR made me go back to playing GT7 again which I wasn't much before PMR release.

And the good thing about gt7 now is that we got a breathe of new air with spec lll and power pack, before that it was very sterile for a good while, ac evo also got some new fresh fixes and content this week, and that has jump to 3000-4000 players now on steam, i see a lot talk about those games now, but very few about pmr.

But the worst part in my opinion is the devs jumping on the players and ban people for talking negative on the game, thats not going to sit well, not sure if they will be able to repair the damage thats been done now.

They could rescue the game imo. They could, but probably won't.

Because to do it they'd have to simply make it much easier to drive for pad players (I'm talking GT7-level easy) and then get the word out there's good SP racing to be had in PMR. Cars and tracks and a structured SP career alone would attract v many more console punters.

Wheel/sim people would be apoplectic I guess, but if the devs want sales they gotta ignore that and get it known as kinda the 'New GT Sport' to sit alongside GT7.

I very strongly suspect the devs are v much sim players themselves though, and MP-focused to boot, making a game for themselves. Maybe they don't care about sales if they have the game they want?

GT7 Power Pack is strangely gonna buy them some time though, that's if they do want to fix things. Everyone so busy playing that for a month or two. If PMR can be fixed by Jan or Feb people finishing GT7 PP will be hungry for similar close racing elsewhere (GT7 SP won't provide it).

I dont see it getting much better the damage is already done

If they don't put in the hours and at least try to repair things over the next month or so, you certainly will be proved right, I think.

PD bought time for GT7 with the 4-grind-races patch. PMR team gotta at least try for a Hail Mary. I'd go for a complete gamble on pad player numbers, as I said above.

If it does fail, there's still value in the SP for someone like me. But not that many are like me.

Its not just about it bad state, and yes it launched worse than any other racing game in history, its the way the act against the players. Its going to take miracle to turn it around, having around 100 players on steam for a game thats just about 2 weeks old is not a good look, its Numbers you would consider a failure, not even ac evo had that low playercount when it was at its worst, and that was 0.1 pmr is 1.0 and fulled payed title. It should have launch as early access instead,

You paying full price for something thats simular to very early access. And with gt7 getting its biggest ever update, ac evo 0.4 just releasing its not going to be easy for pmr going forward.
