Wow, ghost stories. Nothing scarier than those when you live in a house full of "ghost-presence", like I do. I've got some too.
First, my father. During the winter, everly evening (which translates to pitch-black when you live here) some years ago, he was out and checking the animals when he heard footsteps in the snow some distance away. Note that our closest neighbour lives roughly a half kilometer away. Kind as he is, decides to greet this person, but when he approaches, the sound of the footsteps vanish. He continues, but sees no-one. There are foot-prints in the snow, however, and these abruptly stop in the middle of a field with no traces of any sort of vehicle.
Second, my friend who lives in a suburbian home, has had a far more frightening experience. He, his brother and his two half-sisters were at home, when they started to hear the dogs bark violently towards a bright light visible some distance away. Shortly after they noticed this, the TV went on, with the switch in off-position. According to him, the light came closer, then dissapeared, silencing the dogs and shutting down the TV.
