As for running pinks...why do you even need another of the same car you have thats slower, If you use if for more than drag racing then use a diffrent sheet for the diffrent settings. I never run pinks because theyre sooo utterly pointless.

Couldn't agree more on this. Plus it's so easy for someone to back up their save before sending and recover it afterwards. Guarantee most people do that, so it just defeats the whole purpose of it.

Just want to get some opinions on pro that use automatic drive.

Not saying that those guys arnt fast but I found myself in a pro evo and sti room, had a little succuss and some loses.

now a couple of fast guys that I lost to used AT and not MT. When I asked if they could run me on Mt they kinda brushed it off.

I mean if you are fast shouldnt you be able to control your car?

AT is still an assist right up there with srf.

Yeah I mainly use AT with AWD, and all others i'm still working on MT shifting at a certain RPM. To me, SRF only matters if 1.) SSRX, IF it gives me better times, and 2.) Get better handling at Indy. AT goes more consistency, but MT is better to control overall.

Im not mad if you were lol...its hard to find the time to be on gtp every single day for some.

If the cars shift point are at redline then there will be no point to run it in Manuel like let's say the GTR. But if it's like the spec C WRX ya it's a must. It's just easier in auto less buttons to think about.

My fwd cars dont go into the redline as ive learned how to tune them...so im guessing im just missing my shift points, shifting a little after I supposed to.

I just like using FT. im too stubbern to put on AT so I BS myself. Lol
 
Wow. I found myself reading this whole thread and I must say it was the most ignorant attempt at arguing possible. If you can not tune both auto & MT you are not as good as you think you are. If you want to run your AWD in MT that's your decision, don't expect others to make the same choice you did. We all race to win*

There is only one car(s) that runs well in AT and that is the GTRs
 
I ran a deadly fast auto supra and acr the other day, unless it was me lagging bad.

I can make this list longer if I was on my game. Just to point out Its not ONLY GTRs that run well in automatic.
 
Think i've won a few drags because of my gearchanges, granted im not always smooth, but for me, the ability to choose your gear before you set off is a big advantage, my Ford GT '06 starts in 2nd (as do most my cars) and i surprise enzos and even the odd ACR with it, that may be because their tune isnt great rather then my launch being brilliant
 
You will find that most online tunes aren't very good. They can be decent but most aren't great. Before SSRX it was divided up. You were either fast and hell or slow as hell. Now you've got an "in-between".
 
Sometimes Im just too damn lazy. I know my 350 Espirit runs better with a MT but its only milliseconds slower with an AT. If i feel a challenge Ill use a MT if not then AT it is. If the car does not get max HP at or close to redline Ill def use MT.
