The chiness virsion begins with 10,000cr only. :scared:
The chinese version uses car values with 2 0s less than the Japanese one. You may seem to start off with only 10,000CR, but all the cars and parts have adjusted prices so it works out to be the same :)

 Naw. Maybe tommorow? I would post link but thumbnails are better since the person gets to see what they are clicking.

Great work Pimp racer. But still not many 80's hatch backs :(. I'd like to see the Nissan Be-1 or Mirage 1400 GLX.

woah...what's up with this pic?

Hi All,

Just wondering if there is still Machine tests like GT3 that is 400m, 1000m, and top speed and if it has changed in any way. Eg. Trap speeds, 60 foot times etc.

I am pretty sure it is still gonna be there espically since there is drag racing mode they would be stupid not to include the pratice for it. SO it should be.

All this talk of GT4 being made for DFP is BS if you ask me.

The overwhelming majority of PS2 owners would not own a Steering wheel at all let alont DFP. Why would anyone software company make a game for such a minority of people. I think the game would be much much more enjoyable with the DFP or other but saying that GT4 is crap without it or that GT4 is built for a steering wheel controller is misleading.

PS great pics pimp racer. I just wish they hurry up and bring the damn game to AUS soon.

Maskrider, do you have the Mazda RX-7 Bathurst Type R in the car room? (I don't see this car in gt4cars or gt4usedcars)?

Thanks.

I have some Japan GT4 demo experiance and from what I've seen "and others" the DFP is better and faster than using a DS2. NO matter how hard i've tried I can't get no better than 10 seconds off of my DFP time when i'm using a DS2. I can easily lap in at a 6'52 with the wheel lap after lap with the DFP, and with the DS2 i'm lucky to do 6'58's-7'00's. I'm giving 100% so the only conclusion I can come up with is that it all comes down to the DS2 steering assist. At least thats what i've experianced with the demo. I have the Japan GT4 in my hands, I just have to mod my ps2 to play it when ever the dang chip comes in.

Fact is, that this is your experience. I bet lots of people drive better with the DS2, than with the DFP.

The DFP was made for GT4, and GT4 was made for The DFP.

Polyphony and Logitech worked in conjunction to provide a device that gives that gives the most realistic simulation on PS2 to date. FACT not BS.

PD made the game, to give the most realistic simulation when using the DFP.
The game is not made soley for use with the DFP that is why you can use Your DS.
Using the DFP is the ultimate and best way to enjoy GT4, its designed that way.
PD had to use steering assits to make the game playable for DS and other wheel users.
As to if that makes it crap without using the DFP really depends if you want the true simulation for your game experience, or you are quite happy to enjoy the assisted DS experience.
Its your choice!
DFP= Full implemented Physics/Handling engine, (truer to RL)
DS= Lower level Physics/Handling engine and assists, (more Arcadey than RL)

But to get the best out of the game, the DFP is the only option, as it provides enhanced physics over the DS by extending the games physics engine, it does this by moving the wheel, to simulate the cars movements as the weight transfers, this can not be simulated when using the DS, as there is no way to feel what the vehicle is doing, and no way to hold or counteract these movements.
Add to that the fact that using the DFP is the only way to give precise control with the ability to hold constant steering input, (not possible with the DS due to assist), means that for those who take driving experience seriously, will get much more out of the game, as an experience than DS users.

KY has delivered a title, that can be enjoyed on a different level for those serious players, who are prepared to make a little investment in how they play it, while it can still be enjoyed as a game, for those that dont really care about getting the best out of the physics engine by using the DS.
Of course some people will be good with a DS, its just youll be missing out on much of the new Physics without the DFP.

Everytime I see more in game shots its making me want the game now but another month to go yay.
