Did the quick search as mentioned above, but not much showed up.
Info regarding fuel. How does fuel play a factor in the game. Is it part of every race, just long races ? How many laps on average would you say non race cars can go ? What happens when you run out of gas ? Our the races on average longer then in GT3 or about the same ? Does the A.I. use better pit stragey ?

Can someone please do me a favour??? I just got back from my 5 day holiday and looked on here (Well tried) and I see that GT4 is out in Japan. Well I saw this thread, but I really don't want to have to kill myself trying to go through every post or wait for every page to load. I'd like it if someone could either point me in the direction of the Holden pics. Or even post them up after this post. Hell even email them to me, but I have to see them. Please!

do the oil changes cost the same for every car like in gt3?

and is there a paint shop? and if there is are there custom colors or just factory colors for each car ?

If I'm not mistaken, every kind of USB flash drive can be used with the PS2...

I tested my Cruzer as soon as I got home... Connected it to the top port, started my Action Replay MAX and transferred some savegames from my memory card to it. Then, connected it to the PC. Result? Worked flawlessly... Backed up all my savegames to my desktop.

Then, I did it the other way: copied some MP3 files to the drive, connected it to the PS2 and started MAX Media Player. Again, total success. Listened all the files with no problems.

I hope "compatibility" will not be considered an issue to GT4's memory handling abilities...

About buying one of these drives... I think you can easily find it in any electronics store nowadays (I live in Brazil, but I was able to find many shops with these drives in a question of minutes, compare prices and buy the cheapest one). The only thing I cannot help you is talk about price... Things here are 3 to 4 times more expensive than in USA or Europe.

If there is anyone who lives in the US that has a USB stick compatable with the PS2 can you give me links to where you bought it or just the name of the stick? I wanna see which one is the most popular with the users.

Have you figured how to turn off that Auto save?
I hope there is a way as its a pretty stupid and crap feature.

Well, you can always force it off by removing your card. ;)
 
Eh, not looking good for the USB drive. I may have did it wrong, but I put an MP3 file on the drive, then put it into the PS2. Nothing came up in the browser. My USB ports seemed to be a bit out of line, as well since I put a clear case on last week, so who knows what I could have screwed up. :yuck:
 
Why would you buy an expensive USB drive when you could just port everything directly with a nice, cheap cable?

Hmm...try just putting in the stick to see if it reads it at all.

The default browser of the PS2 does not support USB drive, it is the game (the software) that reads/writes from/to the USB drive, much like the way Action Replay MAX is using the USB drive (but not all works).

u'll hafta wait till tonite for me to check (i dont have time during lunch break today), but i THINK i saw one.... i'm sure the EXA is in there, so i've got a feeling the pulsar should be there too.... there's still a lot of cars to unlock anyways... i'm not even up to 300 cars yet, and presuming the 650~700 cars is true, that means i'm not even half way...

Ok sorry about that I take blame since I asked. I guess I will make a Thread about this when the game is out in the US or not make a thread if someone already has.

Barely. And I mean just barely. Your minute-by-minute description of your attempt to manipulate the flash drive, as well as the discussion of where you bought it, had absolutely NOTHING to do with GT4.

Now back on topic or I'll delete the last 4 pages of this thread and we'll try again until we get it right.
 
So who here has GT4 right now?

I know 1twojay, Chaser_fan, and x08 do. Anyone else?

There are a few simple questions I would like answered, such as reverse lights and tuning options. What new parts are available besides superchargers and nitrous? Are there any new options in setting up your car? (i.e. boost, tire pressure, ECU tuning)
