ive always usesd my own method for comfort and functionality. wrap some hockey tape arond hte controller. sweat never affects grip, change it occsionally and its always comfy and if you know what your doing you can make the controller ribbed. that is really really comfy. i dont mind hte regular ds2 either.

A modded DS2 - that's gotta be a first!

As for the DS2 being too small - I don't have much of a problem, mind you I've got small hands.

I can see how it would be a problem for people with large hands and big fingers. Stuff is close together and the buttons are fairy small...

They don't play for very ong though really. If you spend a few hours playing GT4 you really feel it if the pads too small for your hands.

I c, get a xbox then. I can't play with a gamecube controller, not cause it ain't big enough but because it's not as organized and comfortable as the DS2 is, and I know that some unofficial DS2 controllers are bigger than the orginal.

Why nget an X-Box, because the pads are the right size. They are more comfey but not as functional, the GC pads are horid, the worst of the 3 imo. But I wouldn't choose a console on the basis of it's pads, I choose a console because of the games that will come out for it.

Xbox controllers suck to the max for sports games. six face buttons make sports games a chore. I know this because NCAA 2005 is harder to do moves with the horribly placed black and white buttons. and the triggers are easy to accidently press, I got it because i enjoyed 2004 for ps2. The same goes for NFL 2k5. NBA 2k5 same degree of difficulty, six face buttons are a killjoy for sports games. Games that use 4-6 buttons are good but any more and it just blows. MS fixed this with the x360's pad which should be worlds better than the current one. Well it doesnt really suck but its not very useful to have the black and white buttons where they are.

Amazing..Who would have thought the polls would have came out like this..

Let's go to Xbox.com...See what results we get there! :dopey:

Go crawl back to your precise Xbox 360 forum. Only reason I posted this here was cause more people come to this forum.

my precise or precious? If I had a Xbox 360 forum..I'd be there, but I don't..
So you're STuck With ME!?!?!?
AHAHAHAHAHAAHHA

The reason you posted it here is because you want to see the PS2 pull away with the win..

The N64 is the most ergonimcally and scientifically comfortable controller to date...

NOW!!!
in terms of X box vs ps2..
IT's all about which one you play more..if you play the x box more you're without a doubt going to be more comfortable with IT..you're not gonna all of a sudden start playing PS2 and say "omg?!?!?! I've been missing such comfort??!!?"...

It's a learning curve not an automatic "PS2 CONTROLLER > X boX"

I have no f'ing clue where the hell I got precise from.... Ok the only reason I posted here was because more people come here than the xbox forum. And it isn't just about which one you play more. I've played every controller to the point where I've gotten comfortable to it. Except the gamecube one which is just horrendous and I am just not able to use it. Xbox has those two ugly little buttons that are b-tches to play with. And tho the trigger buttons are fun sometimes the layout doesn't compare to the ps2's. DS2 has no badly placed buttons.

But I will agree on one thing and that is that the N64 controller was fun and confortable. I distinctly remember that ad they ran where the controller was suppose to look like a X-wing from star wars.

Come to think of it, I did used to play on a mates N64 and I can't remember once having any issues with the controlers comfort. If you want fair results you'll post the same poll on a N64 forum on a different site full of 64 fans, an X-Box forum full of the same fans, a DC forum ect and them combine the results of all of them.

Like i said, in the end he just want to see his fav system win....

No I don't, I could give less of a ****. It doesn't make a difference to me if it won or not. I just wanted to know what people thought of the ps3 controller and the 360 controller. And I also wanted to know what was the most confortable for everyone. And obviously it's the ps2, and a lot of people can tell you, that unlike the xbox there is no badly placed buttons.

More people here only own a PS2 than other systems, THE comfiest by most people opinions will probably be the N64's pad, but not many people here have used one. You posting a poll on a Forum heaviliy biased towards the Playstation brand, what do you think the results will show.

Maybe not, but that doesn't mean the results of the poll are fair. Like I said, the ONLY way to get fair results is to place the same pollon different sites with a bias to each system the pads belong to. This sites bias is towards the PS and PS2, most people here only own a PS2 and so they'll vote for that.

I dont know what you guys are talking about , i still have an N64 and this controller hurts my hands after some time, It's not hand friendly at all when using the analog stick, find one pick one up and you will change our mind. maybe 7 years ago it felt good. SNEs's controller seems cool back then now its uncomforterble compared to modern controllers.

It is fair. As he said, this is a GTP survey and this poll showed that most gamers on GTP prefer the DS2. The results were rather obvious, but not unfair.

The DS and DS2 have been known to cause bad cramp in peoples hands, I get this when I use one for anything more than an hour, sometimes less, I never got it with the N64 pad, I never get it with an X-Box pad, however the buttons on the XB pad are poorly laid out.

I still play my N64 from time to time...(Mario 64 never gets old)

And it's still as comfortable as it was when i first purchased it..

The NES controllers WERE comfortable back in the day, then SNES and Genesis came out..that changed that...

same for SNES and genesis when N64 came out....

N64 remains comfortable..After playing on the DS/DS2; Xbox Launch and Xbox SII; Dreamcast....

all of them are "bareable"...
but the N64 still remains the most comfortable and practical with the best button configuration.

But can any xbox fans say that all the keys on the Xbox pad are laid better than the ps2's? The only dynamic thing I like about the Xbox controller is that it has trigger buttons. But I've heard they're only useful on certain games.

No, the X-Box pads buttons arn't laid out that great, but the shape of the pad is comfier to gripm thats all I was saying. It doesn't induce cramp in my hands.

Yeah, it is more wider, but the ps3 controller looks like it won't feel so cramped. I just don't like the shape to much because it looks like the thumbs have to extend more to hit the buttons.

The PS3 controlelr does look comfier, it's not a nice looking controller imo but I don't care if it means I can hold it right.

I wanna know exactly what you people are doing to get cramps in your hand, lol. Seriously...are you putting a death grip on the controller and holding on for dear life? Just losen up a bit, haha, I rest my controller on my leg sometimes, if you keep your muscles tense the whole time then of course you'll cramp...but I just don't see how you cramp...and I have big hands...so it confuses me.
