I heard somewhere that the Ninty Revolution may cost as little as £90. :odd: I'm sure whoever said it was talking out of their ass, but I'm sure the Revolution will cost less than the 360 and PS3. :sly:

And that STILL hasn't helped nintendo in the home console market. Though they do own the portable market, or pretty close to it.

Hmm...oddly enough, I now want a Gamecube. I played Burnout 2 and Soul Caliber on my friend's whilst fixing his Alienware and it's great fun. For a console with so little hype, it really does give the impression of being very good. I even stopped calling it a Rubix cube!

It's got its advantages. namely the lack of loading time. But to be honest, I think it's the controller that killed it. But this is kind of off topic...

To swing it slightly back on topic, if the PS3 ocntroller is a comfy as the Gamecube one, it'll be awesome. :D

The Gamecube control may have felt nice, but the button layout was just stupid. I think Sony is very wise to simply alter the current DS2 then to come up with a completely new design.

Again, I really can't stand the Gamecube controller. And almost every non-firstparty game for the GC suffers because of the controller. Especially cross platform titles.

Yeah, the layout is kinda stupid. But, i'll be damned if it isn't comfortable to hold. From what i've seen, the PS3 controller is the best bits of both. :D:tup:

About pre-orders, there is no way I'm going to take a chance pre-ordering a PS3 after what happened with the 360. One of my friends just got his 360 last Thursday, and he pre-ordered months before release. I camped out at Wal-Mart all night and had mine the first day. :D I plan to be outside of Wal-Mart again for the PS3.

The Gamecube is a good console, but if you're getting one it should be for the first party games, not games out on the three consoles.

I'm coming back from Travelling in August from Singapore... gonna pick me up some cheap PS3's and flog em on the ebay for profit!!

C.

Gamecubes are $99 Aus here, its crazy how cheap they are. As I understand it, Nintendo is still making a profit in each unit sold. Shows how much room for manouvers Sony has left with the redesigned PS2, which is retailing for around $250-$275 here.... its gotta be even cheaper than the Gamecube to manufacture!

Really it depends on how and whre you pre order.

Of course if you wait to be like the 30th person on the list you won't get one. You have to understand, if you ask how many people are on the list, they will tell you, and viola, you can say "that's a lot of people, I think I'll just take my chances, doesn't look like I'm garunteed one".

But if they say...."we have three people on the list" then I would reserve in a heart beat.

I want one too :) 👍

....really bad! The best thing to always do is not preorder, either camp out on release day or..... like me, wait for a month or so after release till it has all calmed down and then pick one up.... it may even be abit cheaper!

Or order a couple of them early enough, 2 or more, then sell the firts ones that arrive on e-bay.

:guilty: Looks like my PS3 will be put on hold for awhile because I might be diverting all my funds to a new less obsolete puter. :dunce:

**SPOILER WARNING**

Here is an image that is supposed to be a teaser image from KH3 on the PS3.

Yeah PC gaming is awesome (95% of my games are for PC) but its expensive.

Meh, PS3 hype... PC gaming is the way to go. Upgradability, etc.
I should've realized this much earlier.

Really depends on your favorite genres. Fps, mmorpg's for example are well represented on PC, other genres aren't... jump n'runs, beat'em up's, japanese style rpg's, racing games : best games of these genres are on consoles... upgradability is an advantage ??? haha, just buy every new console and you have new hardware every 1-2 years... full compatibility included ;) :)

I will be buying a PS3 purely for GT series and GTA series.
