Damn Im actually starting to get excited about this console now. I hope they have some decent games out for it near launch

I dont see why one would wait for a single title to come out If you know its something you want. Its not a bad idea to be well familiar with the hardware and play other games. I mean If you know you are going to get it for one game, you have to ask your self, is the price worth getting the system for just one game? Get it sooner then worry about the games you really want later. Get familiar with everything, enjoy it for what its worth then add to the joy once the game you wanted the most comes out.

GT5 wont be out till 2008..... GTA October 2007. No relase for The Getaway but I dont know of any GTa clones for PS3.

1. I would wait too. It only takes a few days to get familiar with a system, and if GT5 and/or GTA doesn't live up to expectations, you're not stuck with a $600 doorstop. And if you wait, PS3s will probably have most of their bugs worked out, plus there's the possibility of a price drop.

2. PD said that GT5 will be released in 2008, but they can't hold a release date to save the world. It's most likely going to be early 2009.

i only play racing games and games like GTA hence one of those titles or simliar will have to be released before I get a PS3. And thy must be good aswell.

Played TDU and PGR3 and tbh I was majorly dissapointed with those racing games.

Afrika looks even better then it did at E3 06.

I thought so, too. I hope it's a hunting type game, but I doubt it. The "hippy" in the Jeep seen at the end of the video makes me think this is some sort of "film project" game. Like, shoot (film) a certain animal doing a certain action. Sleeping, eating, hunting, etc.

That's the best I can come up with.

My guess is that it'll be something like Pokemon Snap.

I have no idea what the means.
Pokemon Snap

You take photos of various Pokemon, doing poses and such. You have bait and "pester balls", which lets you try to make the Pokemon/animals do different things than normal. And you pretty much get scored on the rarity of the pose, how close it is to the camera, etc. It's pretty much a photography game.

Interesting. I wasn't far off, then.

I am by no mean want to start a war, but I really hope that they make GTA4 for the PS3 first, then port in to 360. It's not like 360 is not powerful enough, What i concern is that if they make GTA for 360 first, they'll stuck within that 9GB of data, and you know, GTA is a kind of game that requires alot of space. However, if they decide to go multi discs, that'll be another story.

Do you have a PC that can run current games? :odd:

I am talking about GTA4, not oblivion, don't care about oblivion, won't buy oblivio (even it's a good game). It sucks if rockstar has to reduce the size GTA4 so it will fit onto a DVD9. If I am right, GT:SA was on a DVD9, So it'll really stink if their NEXT GEN GTA still can't fill up that DVD9 disc.

GTA have never been a game very well made. I really doubt it will go over 5 GB. I'm pretty sure it is smaller than Oblivion.

Oblivion is freaking huge & have nice graphic. All the character have voice & there's a lot of NPC, monster, dungeon, cities. The map is big & the detail is different everywhere.

My computer deliver decent performance for current games. It can run Oblivion, FEAR, Prey, GTR2, CoD2 without much trouble in medium, high setting. Games on PC are fully installed in the Hard Drive. The disk is just there to prevent pirate.

Edit:
Oh yeah, let's talk about compression ratio.

Do you download video in gametrailers? You know.... Those videos written GT-HD on it. Actually, those video compression ratio are far better than what you will find on DVD video. They actually take less space than DVD & run with a beautiful picture at 3Mbps(Example H_Whiteknight.wmv in 720P). DVD video run in Mpeg 2 at 5mbps, though they look a lot worst than those preview at gametrailers at 3Mbps. So, if you know those at gametrailers run those a 3Mbps & new console games support those compression codec. Why BluRay is so needy for new generation games... >_>

^^ You obviously don't understand what variety is.

Most PC games and current console games are "small" because they use redundant textures and voices. Oblivion is especially guilty of this, recycling grass, building, and character textures. So while the "world" of oblivion is huge, the variety in it is definately not next generation.

Then you've got audio, and the fact that most PS3 games will support 5.1 at the least, and that audio will be uncompressed, lossless digital audio.

My guess is, that GTAIV will release on both systems day one, with the PS3 having extra content from the start, and the 360 having downloadable "episodic" content.

Those content are usually not free on XBOX Live. I really doubt they will do that. Also, the PS3 might get those content not free also. :sly:

I still think that GTAIV will be smaller than Oblivion.

Rockstar already stated that GTAIV will have downloadable episodic content. This was said long ago, but of course, you never pay attention to those things that may be bad for your beloved 360, you only bring up the rumors about PS3 and then stretch everything out.

To be honest, Morrowind had alot more variety than oblivion.

I think that content is supposed to be an add-on to the game, not something you must buy to play the game (like GTHD).

And really, I doubt the X360 will have less content than the PS3 version. And if it doesn't have it, that extra content will most likely be free.
