I think that content is supposed to be an add-on to the game, not something you must buy to play the game (like GTHD).

And really, I doubt the X360 will have less content than the PS3 version. And if it doesn't have it, that extra content will most likely be free.

I can promise you that the content is not free. And no matter what MS say's, I can also promise you that it *will* be available to PS3 owners. Fact is, every PS3 is capable of downloading and buying content, which makes for a larger user base of people capable of buying their content.

Let's forget about trashy MS, check this out guys:

Again, lucky bastards:scared:

Nothing lucky. They didn't get to keep the PS3. Sony confirmed that. Sony also confirmed they just sent somebody over to demo the final PS3 product so they can write about it in their magazine. Remember, stories, articles and such have to be finish 4 to 6 weeks before that issue goes to print.

Anybody notice something interesting about this pic? (Answer at the bottom)

Oh, here's a better link to what I think is a movie KENJI posted.

The LARGE PS3 on the bottom right looks like it's refrigerator! How literally cool would that be for some one's game room!

I've seen that photo, but honestly, I didn't notice those huge PS3s, May be I was too busy staring at those shiny PS3 and what being shown on those TVs:sly:

Dude, wtf. Those are Sony's true 1080p hella-expensive tv sets.

news for the acessories:

Sony has unveiled a clutch of PlayStation 3 accessories due out in Japan later this year, including the wireless control pad, which has been officially named "Sixaxis".

The Sixaxis, which uses Bluetooth to talk to the PS3 and features a motion-sensing capability, you've already seen, and spare units will retail for 5,000 yen from 11th November in Japan. That's about 22 quid or 33 Eurobucks.

Japanese gamers will also be able to pick up the memory card reader on that day, which allows you to copy PlayStation 2 save-files onto the PS3's mammoth hard disk. That'll cost 1,500 yen - nearly 7 of the Queen's or 10 Eurosmackers.

Finally there's the remote control, which is due out a month later on 7th December, and can be used to convince Blu-ray movies to skip chapters and so on, among - judging by the number of buttons - quite a lot of other things. It'll cost 3,600 yen, which is 16 sterlingmarks or 24 Euroutofjokes.

and also, the interface explained from IGN:

Wondering how you'll be interacting with your PS3 once you manage to actually get your hands on Sony's next generation console? If you have a PSP, you'll have a good idea of the system's basic Cross Media Bar (XMB) interface, but today Sony Japan provided a close-up look at the specific PS3 version. that´s the kind of report i was expecting from TGS... good news IMO with those details...

An EBgames dude had a chance to play the PS3, here's his expression:
just got back from our annual meeting for EB games And gamestop , and i got to play

Genji , MotorStorm , and Resistance

they all where on those new sony XBR tv's running at 720 P

Ok first off , to al the people, ( including myself at 1 point ) When you look at a ps3 game, you know your looking at a ps3 game , there is a very distinctive difference in them, the games are so crystal clear, the shadows, the particle effects are soo nice, and from what i played , all 3 of those games look a bit better then anything ive seen and played on 360.

Genji : originally i didnt think i would like this title, but after playing it , im buying this game on DAY1 ,

The way you can swap between characters at any given time is actually very nice , and gives for some huge combos, i got to play with the main dood with the swords, the big guy with the giant pole ( lol ) and some chick with these rings on a chain , this game when you see it in person looks amazing , plays very fast and very good, the whole time i played it NOT once did the frame rate EVER drop at ALL,The colors are so nice and vibrant , got to play what looked like and opening stage wich just kinda let you see how to play with the people , then once you beat that it moved you to a battlfield with a bunch of guys on it, everything was on fire , looks awesome ( they said this game would use some tilt features but was not in this demo )

MotorStorm: This honestly is the best looking game i personally think i have ever seen as far as realizm, This game is so beautiful you really have to se it in person , for those people that think gears of war has great graphics ( wich it does ) this game in all aspects looks better than that. They only had 1 course for us to play but it did let us pick between prolly about 7 different vehicles , i played with the motor cycle dirt bike, and a dune buggy , they handle like you are in the dirt , turbo is really cool, u have a meter if you hold turbo too long you rides engine and car will blow up.Every time u blow up or crash u get the burnout slo mo effect .Almost everysingle part of the car can be destroyed , I rammed a guy next to me and knocked his driver side door off, then i rammed him again and he actually fell out of the car . I notced this with all the games i played , MotorStorm looked spectacular and Not once, EVER did the Frame rate drop . ( o yeah this was the one game they said would have ni tilt features )

Resistance : This game is really cool , graphic wise it looks extremly well , somtimes when u get up on a wall the textures dont look to good . When u get up on an enemy or zoom in on his dead body to look at them, they are EXTREMLEY detailed. The weapons in this game are AWESOME. I really like the sniper rifle , it's alt fire makes time slow down for AWESOME headshots. The ragdoll physics are sooo sweet in this game , And another thing to note , for instance, im going down some stairs, and instead oflike just killing a guy or 2, like 10 or 15 guys come runnin up the stairs, these things are jumping off the walls, there are alot of guys on screen at once.there where 3 lvls for us to play and they where all awesome , this game has a fast paced feel like UT in a way , blowinf people up with grenades is SUCH a rush and soo fun. I am a Halo ( 1 ) fan myself, i have the game on xbox and on pc for multiplayed , even tho i didnt get to play multiplayed in the demo of resistance, the single played experience rivals if not surpases that of Halo, they have done an extremly well job at balancing this game, making the weapons fun, lots of enemies, ragdoll is perfect , giant enemies , the whole feel of this game is just awesome , even this game looks a bit better than anything that is out on the 360 . O yeah, with all the people on the screen, ships flying over head, explosions goinf off , and all the chaose that is going on, NOT once did i EVER see the FRAME RATE drop at all.

After playing these 3 titles ,and getting confermatin that all 3 of these will be available on November 17th, I will be buying all 3 of these games, Like i stated before you can defenetly tell the difference between a 360 game and a ps3 game , and its not something you have to look for, its apparent from the start , the graphics are so clear , the effects and shadows and everything are just sooo nice , and iff you didnt notice, on all 3 that i played the frame rate neer droped not once at all, to me and alot others this is huge, i havnt played a 360 game yet that dont have frame rate issues ( besides knockout kings, wich is awesome ) . I went in there a bit sceptical, just a bit, and walked out completley 100% happy with what i seen and played,

just on another note, the new ps3 controller as we al know, has the battery built in, comes with the charger also , and i was told you will get 25 - 30 hours of gameplay on them . I like the new controller alot, theres nothing like a ps controller, the new triggers are really nice, and made from a rubber now also, and the analog sticks also stick upward a bit more than they did, my only complaint is that i wish the controller had a tad bit more weight to it.Another cool thng was that the games where runnin off of component cables, the guy showed me lol , the system uses the same imput as the ps1 and the ps3 , so hopefully HDMI will be a bit better .

I cannot wait for NOV 17 now!

Uh oh, I think here we go again. Reports are coming in that the PS3 is having heating problems and now the stock of Sony is going down because of it. Yeah right.

PlayStation 3 Countdown: PS3 Blu-ray Remote Control Revealed

Tue Oct 03, 2006 at 01:03 PM ET

original.pjpeg

Details continue to be doled out on a near-daily basis leading up to the highly anticipated November launch of the Blu-ray enabled PS3. Today is all about the remote control.

Turns out gamers will be able to access Blu-ray playback functionality two ways:

1) Much the same way DVD playback is handled on the PS2 today, via a new and improved wireless controller dubbed 'Sixaxis' (so named because it has sensors which allow it to sense linear motion along six axes), and...

2) Via a new optional accessory -- a Blu-ray/DVD remote control, offering streamlined access to the unit's disc playback features.

According to initial reports, the optional remote has been priced at 3600 yen ($31), and while a U.S. release date for the remote has yet to be announced, Sony is already receiving flack for its plans in Japan where the remote won't be released until December 7th, three weeks after the PlayStation unit itself hits shelves in that country.

The PlayStation 3 is scheduled to be released stateside on November 17

We have heard that at the TGS PS3s had stability problems and had to be reset often.

Who is this we? Must poeple belevie everything they read? Not one source and this apparently came from an "analsyt". I really hate these guys.

Edit: I've seen reporyts that Armord Core 4 crashed a few times and the system needed a reboot, but that wa armored Core.

Must poeple belevie everything they read?

Who's believing it? They write this crap to get attention. I say, give them their brief attention, point out how stupid and asinine they are and then ignore them forever.

It looks like an early '90s remote control.

I don't care for it, either. It looks a lot like my HDTV set remote controller. It's too long, has too many useless buttons, it's unbalanced and is very thin, cheap and not well built.
