as far as the Warhawk Beta goes, I should get an email to the account I chose if accepted yes? because it looks like you guys are actually checking to see if you were accepted

You have to go to betatest.us.playstation.com to see if you were accepted.

No, the update isn't out... those were just images Sony sent to ps3fanboy.com.

But anyway. Joust is confirmed tomorrow, and we'll probably see a buttload of SGD trailers and stuff too for the PS Store. And isn't there supposed to be the free DLC for Motorstorm as well?

Same here, but it's at 20% after 15 minutes. Yowsa.

And according to a few people at GAF, you can play BDs in 720p.

Seems like My PS3 does better d/ling stuff period vs my 360... Not to mention it's wireless.

Anyway! Impressions, etc etc.

PS2 upscaling: minor difference. Things are a little clearer and there's less jaggies, but that's about it. Not a huge deal, but it's a welcome addition.

720p Blu-ray: Praise Jesus. Ricky Bobby looks a lot better.

Media streaming: seems pretty decent for the most part. I used TwonkyMedia (which is some old, slow UPnP thing for Mac), and while the music works fine, photos are on and off and the videos don't work at all. But then again, it's probably the client. If I were using TVersity or something, I would think it'd be a bit better. Still, it's not as intuitive to use as the 360's media streaming gig, but considering I didn't even expect this being a feature for the PS3, I'm not going to complain.

Of course, I'll need an HDMI > DVI adapter before I talk about the DVD upscaling...

But anyway, good update.

EDIT: Supposedly the video streaming only works with SD Mpeg2 videos. Can anyone confirm?

Whoa! Anyone who has HDMI, go to Display Settings and select RGB Full Range (HDMI). The black levels are greatly increased. Very helpful for those with LCD panels.

Has anyone got any Wireless USB Keyboards to work with the PS3, because I am looking to buy a good cheap USB Keyboard.

All wireless keyboards should work. Just plug in the USB dongle into the PS3 and you should be set.
