On dry i keep being hopeless too... I'm either on a different tier or tuning has became way too much important by now. I've even been watching real life camera cars to check my racing lines and they are 100% ok >_>

Still have to try to ceep my car on track in light rain 1:39.00 for the moment .
As for dry weather I did a 1:31.813 so in race all be around 1:32.500 .
Need some more practice in the rain thought .

Seems none will race this week so invite him no problem. No clue what car is left to be honest... I think 1 Aston or 1 RUF... Is he staying for other races?

btw @Skaankypuppy damn you fast aston martin driver If it wasn't for you i could complain my car was too slow lol

I just noticed that by looking at the standings we have to say that @ozwheels and @Razor70 are obliterating the field lately >_>



Now some random thoughts

Also @alldrivers, after this season is finished we'll have to plan a new one. I'll gladly start listening to suggestions from you guys to provide a better and closer racing. Not sure if i should bother making another one of the same, if changing car, or if going a different direction... Or maybe just stop and join someone else's serie

As far as now, i really feel we would need at least 2 tiers. The driving gap is way too big in single lap and at race end. Since we have no way to make things closer due to the lack of ingame options, this is the only way i see as a possible way to pack together the group.

I actually thought of giving different tiers different car choices...

For example aliens only allowed ginetta and M3
Faster guys only allowed sls and aston
normal guys audi and ruf
slow guys mclaren and bentley

not sure it would work out well.

Other ideas i had:

expand the serie to 12 rounds
running race 2 with a reverse grid (using a formation lap and race go after last turn; drivers would reach their position during the formation lap)
introducing tiers (if there's enough serious and stable interest)
introducing a "special round" like a single race of double lenght with double points like for example at nurburgring


Other unrelated ideas:

A F1 serie using the non turbo lotus i think the 1978 one.
A single touring car serie.
Going back playing JRPGs.


I would also like to hear from you guys what you liked, what you didn't like and what changes you would want to see.

I more than likely won't race at Zolder. I have 0 practice and I've gotten 3 wheel bugs in my last 3 league races and it ruined all 3, so the motivation just isn't there right now for me.

We do not have pit stops mate so no bugs! Also you have to be there mate, the numbers are very low and you can't allow yourself to lose points since you missed first rounds.

Worst can happen is you'll fight with me like in the old times lol

I'm definitely down for some expanded season 2 action. Multiple splits is a good idea, I can hold my own against most of you, but I'm very much mid pack and like a lot of us, probably have little to no chance of getting wins/podiums when certain people are racing just because they're so fast.

We could possibly do a Pro/Semi Pro/Am categories or something? With top points awarded to each lead driver in the class? Idk. Stalliwhatshisface outlined a decent enough way of doing it in his GT3 thread. Failing that, 2/3 seperate races each time with drivers of appropriate speeds grouped together.

Concerning a tiered season i had this idea (hope my english is good enough to explain it properly):

First race only.

Room 1 and room 2. Both 16 drivers.

For first race both room points are awarded from 16 to 1

from race 2 on The rooms start mixing and matching and points get as follows

Room1
Goes from 24 (1st position) to 8 (16th)

Room 2 Goes from 16 (1st position of race 2) to 1 (16th position of race2).



Each week The top 8 of both rooms will make the grid of the following week's Room1, While the Last 8 of both rooms race in room2.

Voila' a tiered system that allows for a mixing and matching of drivers each week, and allows for a single and fair standing and is scalable to as many rooms/tiers one wants. This would also make all drivers from all tiers try their best to get in top 8 and start from a higher point base the following week.

Not sure i managed to explain it lol If some english speakers wants can try to re-write it in a more understandable way lol

Never drove those yet (only the 87 Turbo Lotus), looks like it could be great !

And for what Dave said, if you split in two the room based on lap time it could solve part of the problem, because if the slowest now races the middle-times, he has a chance and is mathematically closer to the leader.
(plus the fact multiclass racing is what is one of the most exciting things IMO )

No one wants to make the fast guys slow. At least i do not. I would want to have a close pack racing for all drivers like we had in the series i run in gt6... We had races of 90 minutes where from first to 14th there was less than 30 seconds... And even a couple of races with 1st to 3rd in less than 2 seconds!

I personally don't think it needs to be split, sure am never gonna win a race against the fast guys but asking as I have someone to race against on track that's enough for me, I've had a 6th and 7th place finish and am slow as hell

That is my wish for you, me, and all the others in the serie. No one like to race alone hotlapping. If it happens i consider it as a failure.
