Amendments to Programme - Season 6 is now a TRANSITION SERIES - it will start on PC1 for the Caterham Superlight R500, but will switch during the season (date to be announced) to PC2 for the Caterham R620.

Project cars 2 - Season 7 (BMW Pro Car) will be run on Project Cars 2.

Car Liveries and Numbers

In Project cars you cannot choose a race number like you can in GT6, but you can choose a livery which is pre-fitted with a race number. Go to garage and select the car then scroll through until you find the one you want then save. When you go to race online you go to garage and choose the car which you saved earlier. Note - you only have one save slot so you will need to reselect your car before entering each round.

Please choose one of livery / race number for each car - You will then be free to use either of your cars at each of the 6 rounds. Please treat the AI drivers with as much respect as the human drivers - note the AI drivers sometimes cut the track, but we humans never do that!

We will be using AI drivers set at level 30 to fill empty spaces on the grid.

Please select your livery number and colour for each car - Note you must use your least favourite car at least twice.

Inspiration for Seasons 3 - 5

In the 1960's and '70's my Dad would sometimes take me in his Mini (later a series of Ford Cortina's) or even better my Uncle would take me in his Jaguar saloon to motor racing circuits to watch the racing. There would always be some saloon car racing on the programme - normally Minis, Anglias, Imps, Cortinas, Jaguars and Mustangs and later Capris, Escorts and BMW's. The sights and sounds left a deep impression - join us as we relive those classic days via the historic saloons of Project Cars.

Key Things
This is a hobby and we do this for fun, including me!
If you make a mistake and gain an advantage - give the place back.
If you make a mistake and go off the track - be careful when you rejoin not to get in the way of oncoming cars (Note reset to track is not allowed and is considered cheating - if you are struggling to stay on track slow down to an appropriate pace)..
If you get upset - don't retaliate.
If you get too upset - quit the race and calm down.
If you feel you need to complain about someone's driving wait until the next day then send a private message via GT Planet to Sick Cylinder - DO NOT complain about other drivers on this thread or any other public forum.

Penalties
I like to keep things simple - if a penalty needs to be given a driver may have their result altered. If it was a serious offence they may be excluded from the results.
Serious and / or repeated offences may result in a temporary or permanent ban

Note - penalties are on in the game and we run with full damage so please be careful not to damage your own car or other people's.

Guys, I did a bunch of laps in the BMW 2002 today at BH Indy....wow! A lot of fun! This car has heavy oversteer issues (rear loose) but can be tamed after tires get nice and hot...
I also drove maybe 10 laps in the 'Stang' 2+2...also fun and of course being American love the
exhaust note!!! It has less oversteer and is faster, but lack of handling in general had me running just about the same lap time in both cars...good match up, Sick! :gtpflag::bowdown::cheers:👍
 
View is good in both cars buy, Mustang has a big mirror, to see behind.:) Though it needs careful throttle control out of corners

Whats the best setting for sound, chat audio or all audio, when in the room everyone has line of triangles, by there name, except me, whats that?

The triangles are actually internet signal bars. You don't have one for yourself, but we see yours. Green is great signal, yellow OK, red not so good. Actually not sure what exactly it is measuring, ping or download speed???? I dont pay much attention to those bars, because I have raced many leagues races where almost everyone had red bars, yet no race issues.

If you use the 'virtual' central windscreen mirror to supplement what the car provides, the 2002 has better rear view.....

The PSN chat audio party is the best taking sound, race chat is a poor second to that. The difference is that race chat is just part of Pcars game, and PSN chat audio party is stand alone, and can be used with or without being in a game environment. Much better audio quality.

I should be on with a room setup Monday by 6:30 or so your time so you can practice then if nothing else.....will invite you as usual. I seem to have solved my internet issues...crossing my fingers!!!

This practice room will be BMW drivers only....sorry Simba, Flaco, Paul, and Sick..have to specify the Beemer so Buybon can participate.

just a thought, how's this going to work in the race room proper? If we need to specify the car to allow anyone in who doesn't own it, we won't be able to run the two cars in the race.

I'll give practice a go, and if I get on with the in car view I'll look at buying the DLC.
 
Actually you are right, because Sick can set the room so either car can be used, but even eryone will need to own the car. I am going to open the practice room now...
