Apol's for dropping out, had a nightmare of a race, no party @ the el Perro Encendido garage tonight :grumpy:
 
Finally managed to put one of these events together without any catastrophic issues, I've almost managed to crack tire wear on this game, it started after i spun in race 1 where I was just driving hard enough to not lose so much gap to glen in the lead, towards the end i got a little excited and started to push and well I ended up losing out, good win there glen,

For the second race I decided to just plod along in the same method and see how far I could get into the race before it did me harm, made it all the way to lap 43ish before it really started causing me trouble,

Had an off early on, knackered my steering to the point where I was doing 1:15s+. Was a lap down by lap 5/6.

After everyone was told not to move off the grid upon the start of race 2 I got rear ended, took damage followed by getting lag punted off the track twice within the first few laps so that was pretty much it for me.

Yeah as soon as we loaded into the grid and I noticed how close we all were I pulled off the circuit, these grid distances are inconsistent and just weird...

I must have missed that? Was this said in the chat? I can only hear Rig - maybe we should al enter into a PS party next race?

My race 1 didn't start well, actually i started great but two cars in front had a very vary bad start and i had to swing a bit touching with @filipino1234 and had to lift off so i got passed bu @SnoopMarky @McDastardly From there i managed to cool down and start pressing those in front of me.

Behind i had @Riggy pressing on me and being ready in case i would mess up :D

@bajny pitted because he forgot to refuel, snoop went wide and i passed him T1 lap 2, then i took over dastard after i think he had a touch with fili. At the end my pressure brought result and i got a surprising 3rd allowing me to not loose to much points to @Glenalz81 and @TDZdave

There's around 5 or 6 on any given night, not everyone can commit full time to weekday racing :)

Same as many of the other series on here then haha, I could make it every week probably Monday nights are quiet ones for me lol

would you want to go on with gt4s or change? ;) this question is for all drivers.

what about a 1978 f1 serie? Formula gulf? Or gt3 now that the rooster of cars is super impressive?

we could go with gt4 and assign carts based on drivers pace...

what about a BMW 320tc serie? No assists at all could be great...

so far I'm thinking of going back to gt3 and put a limit of 2 of the same cars...

we have 2 Aston, z4, ginetta, m3, Bentley, Cadillac and the corvette too!

in any case gt4 are fun too right? :D

I haven't used the GT4 cars much so I'd like another series in the GT4's

After reading the gt4 performance analysis on pcars forum I have now a clear sight of what to do to balance out all cars...

Aston would have to use max air restrictor, ginetta banned, all other cars would be in less than 2 tenths.

there is a very interesting thread on gt4 and gt3 balance... Too bad you can't check for air restrictor values like in gt6.

all tests are ginetta has something wrong for its power to weight ratio and for the insane aero features... Can generate twice as much aero grip compared to all others gt4 cars.

the guys on PC have many ways to see what is wrong or weird in all cars.
 
Well that was definitely an experience! Not the usual familiar GT6 organised series process I'm used to, mainly missing a text chat lol. But that's all good, I figured the sessions had been laid to run through schedule (it's awesome makes it feel like a proper race day, especially with the warm-up!) and I did have my mic in after the first race to finally hear Karsten, so I wasn't lost :).

Race , I made a very ordinary start, actually at first I had an alright jump, but an Aston in front of me seemed to bog down a little and I had to back off, getting swamped by the rest of the field lol. I decided to just get to the back and hang on since it was my first proper series start and not write anyone off. I hung in there, just lol, but a few nervous spins put me well adrift of the mid pack and I just pressed on to pick up any mistakes. Finishing 6th I was damn happy I hadn't come last in my first race lol.

Race 2, was a lot more fun! I must apologies @filipino1234 and everyone behind him, on the start lap I had a moment in the chican and just about lost it, but it held the rest of the pack up a bit for the start, and for that I'm sorry.
Once again I was quashed by most on the start after the first couple corners, just trying to not bang into anyone lol. But the immediate pace was a lot more relaxed for the 60mins ahead and I was able to calmly slot into a rhythm and knuckle down on consistent pace.
No spins this time! Was so happy heading into the last 30mins, not sure what happened but a couple of you pitted and before I knew it I was holding off P3. Wasn't easy though, @azidahaka keeping me true to my efforts always upping his pace when I would and keeping within 5 seconds of me.
I was very impressed mate and it was a lot of fun to try hold focus knowing you were right there if I were to slip up.
I pulled a no stopper off, my tires were surprisingly still very much alive being half worn. P2 was in touch till about 15mins to go and then I just couldn't push to pull more time on @bajny, so great pace at the end mate. Congrats to @TDZdave for taking out race 2.


Thank you everyone once again for allowing me to take part, it was great fun.
Sadly that time is normally work for me, this week I took a day owed, off. So not sure if I'll be able to make anymore but I will definitely try somehow to make one or two more!

It's a shame i know, but the faster the cars the less fun i have :nervous: I think anything faster than gt3 is too much for me, and i'm way better on gt4 then gt3 :ouch:

But as Dave said, let's finish this one and then have a few weeks of test before choosing where to head to
