this is complete 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 only day i get to play on my ps3 & this happens 🤬 you sony, your useless now, tomorrow & every 🤬 day

Am still signed in, have been for a while now. Actually bought RE4 HD earlier, was downloading when the first reports of doom were coming out, game still downloaded. :) Although I doubt it's another hack, if it were I think they might literally need armed police at Sony HQ to beat back the looters. :)

Second: I have three PSN accounts. One in the USA, one in the UK, and one in Japan... yes, the USA and UK are down, but guess what? THE JAPANESE ACCOUNT LOGS IN JUST FINE!!!

That's good, I'll go play GTA from my Japanese PSNs.

GT5 and PSN are separate, what are you talking about?

THE NETWORK IS DOWN!

When I tried to login to PSN on my slim, a message stating that a firmware update was required. It is downloading and installing the update now. I don't think I would be able to download the firmware update if the network was down. Relax, it is not the end of the world.

EDIT: After the installation of the 3.72 firmware, I too get the error message. It seems like it may be a problem with the 3.72 firmware update.

The fact that PSN is down, doesn't mean the PS3 system cannot use the internet.
As long as your internet connection is ok in your house, you can go online and download stuff.

I guess it's time to concentrate in getting Bob up to speed then :)

I updated last night and played MW2 for three hours with my usual crowd. It's not an issue with 3.72.

True. I updated and then continued to play GT5 so 3.72 is not the issue.

I was also still playing GT5 after 3.72, although after installing 3.72 my connection to GT5 lobbies deteriorated markedly, so I wouldn't be surprised if this outage is somehow related to 3.72. Of course I have no firm evidence for this theory, apart from my own anecdotal experience.

Now their website is down too. Guess it's time that new Security guy gets sacked. Thats what he's there for. :D

From Twitter:

Current indications are that we'll be restoring PlayStation Network services in approx. two hours. We appreciate your patience.

All you doom mongers, it is quite funny. :D

Pah! Only day of the week I can get a chance to race... and then this!

Grrr, grumble, grumble, moan, moan, moan... :grumpy:

I just started laughing when I saw the error message on my screen. Then I decided to turn off PS and I come here. Then I saw words "unscheduled" and "unsure how long" in this thread. Then I cried a little.

The machines have taken over!! Sky-net is in control!!:scared:

Ive had enough of Sony's incompetance, i might jump ship and buy a 360. Yes you pay to get online, but you get what you pay for..... no network outage.

Sony sort this out before I get to the shops.

That was on my Twitter feed last time I looked from the blog account you mentioned, as it happens I can't get on Twitter atm, over capacity.
