Probably one of the best nights for myself racing with this group. Excellent racing, very clean despite it being a super tight track. I dropped anchor half way thru, and even though I had the pace to run up front, too many mistakes and I dropped back to 6th after a hard fought battle with Dr.
Second race started with me on pole(not sure why this happened). Was leading for a few laps, once again Watson got around me. Then I saw Twissy coming in my rear view, and after battling with him (or trying to hold him back:))he finally got around me, RT followed him thru. I tried my best to keep them behind, even passed twissy back at one point, but it was only delaying the inevitable. So now sitting fourth I was able to close on Dr (after RT and Twissy got around him). Just couldn't get close enough to attempt a move without leaving the door open for car who was all over me. Ended up 4th, only seven seconds back from the leader, not bad not bad.... 👍 👍 Congrats to GTP Twissy, he was the class of the field Sunday.

Hey Jason, any chance of pushing the season back a week it being Mother's day weekend and all. I don't know about anybody else but there's no chance of me getting any PS3 time on that day.

I just give my mum a phone call... *shrug* I got plenty of free time on mother's day.

Same ^ I've got time on mothers day plus the ladies works a double :) as long as my internet stays up unlike yesterday :(

It's my wife I have to worry about, not my mom.

BigsBee what part of GA you from?

I wouldn't mind it either way to be honest, maybe have a bonus points exhibition race on that day, anyone that shows up gets an extra point added to their total for the season, winner gets two? Mother Day is pretty important to some people, not sure what my plans are for it this year..

No plans here either. I could think about pushing it back, but not sure on my position as far as getting to Utah to train for my CDL. That's why I made it a relatively short season.

Not sure what my plans are for mothers day, probably 50/50 that I will be able to make it.

If you can't it's fine, just Tsukuba was actually one of the tracks I was looking forward to running so I'd hate to miss it. Might be done with the festivities in time but not sure how willing the wife will be to let me race.

Chances will increase with a really nice mothers day gift. 👍

I only care about the day because of my wife. I wouldn't be upset if it was pushed back, but should be able to run regardless.

Gwinnett county, you from ga?

I only have the "Tsukuba Circuit." I don't see anything about "plus moto?"

Right after the Dunlop tire bridge, go right through the chicane instead of continuing straight like you normally would.

See the little part of track that sticks out after 35R? Instead of going straight under the tire bridge, you take a right and go through that little section.

Yeah from Alpharetta

Nice your probably 30 minutes from me. I used to work at the lowe's in johns creek. Too many rich soccer moms who can't drive mini vans out there lol...I'm out in Hamilton mill area near dacula. But anyways as for the next track ill just have to kept remembering to use chicanes and not just going straight lol

Nice work Dr, I had almost as much fun watching that video as I did racing. Great track for good close fun racing, Tskuba is going to feel like a 4 lane hwy compared to that track.
Speaking of next week, has anyone put in some laps to figure out a decent time? I was running mid 105's pretty consistent, and that is with the moto chicane in play. Should be a good race, hopefully the turnout is just as good, if not better. 👍

Nice video! Good job.
Right about the 22 min mark and up a bit. The three running together, I love how you can hear all three do about the same thing from shifting to applying the throttle. Bam bam bam in order. Great close racing.

Agreed, great video!

You did a hell of a job holding off twissy in the 2nd race. You've definitely made big progress since you're first FMSC race. 👍 Now all you're missing is on the limit consistency. I noticed in the replay that the only time anyone really got the best of you is when you had an over-run mistake.

Keep at it, that only comes with seat time and confidence... I *just* got that recently (because I bought my first rwd sports car and drove it all winter :sly:) and I still broke under pressure and made a mistake to let RT by after that 3 min war for 2nd place.

edit: oh and great pass on me Twissy *bow*
You TOTALLY caught me with my pants down with the inside dive on the last turn... I had no idea that was possible until it was happening to me  👍

I was curious about lap times as well. I hope to get some practice in tonight or tomorrow. I pulled up Tsukuba last night just to see what the moto was like. In my best 10 times I must have taken the Miata around (probably bone stock including RH tires...if that is what it came with) and was a 1.01.xxx. That would have been after probably 3 laps around as I was just seeing what the car was like when it first came out. So with SM tires, and the moto I would think the mid 5s or so would be a good ball park.

Yeh that seemed to be my favorite overtaking spot, just really had to get a good exit from the right hander and then jink over at the last minute coming up to the apex for the left, seemed to work anyway:sly:

Wow, thanks for the compliment Dr, my speed has increased quite a bit chasing you guys around the last 6 months. Consistency though... :sly: That needs some work.

Edit: Also would like to note, ran both of those races without ABS. 👍

Well as a weak benchmark, I ran 15 laps last night (first time with the moto chicane). I just broke into the 1.05s near the end. My guess based on limited practice and the fact that the really competitive guys are usually a second ahead of me, is that P1 will be earned with a low to mid 1.04.

Anybody else been practising? I was running around the same lap times Trackbound was.

I'd like to join this series if I may. Since I missed the 1st round I put in for reserve slot. Still breaking in car at the moment.
