There is! It's because it's your time.

Doh so simple with 20/20. I just look for my name. Unless I'm drunk, then I'll look for the italics. But if I'm drunk everything will be on a lean so I won't see myself in italics. :D

So if I were a description of the points awarded per finishing position where would I be located? I don't see it in the OP, on the website, nor was it is the PM I received a few weeks ago with all the other pertinent series information.

That's all in the code in the site so you'll see once the results are plugged in. We're going to put the complete PM, with points structure, in the op starting tomorrow. Thanks Brosif.

One last thing! If anyone encounters any incidents, please don't report in this thread, but PM Dennis and I.

Good luck every one!

I am bloody stuck with a blackscreen great!! (noss did say there was something wrong with the room earlier , he said reduced grip maybe this adds to that...)

Can someone in D2 send me a copy of the replay, please? I got stuck loading after the first race and had to quit and re-enter the room, so I couldn't save it. I've got a feww things I need to check.

NTSC-US copy if it matters for replays, I can't remember if it does or not.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and take the title of worst driver in this series.

Race 1 started out well. I kept out of everyones way, made a few spots due to people having problems. Got as high as 8th at one point. Then about half way through the race, it all went down the *******. I tried to 1-stop as I figured it'd be my best chance, but I had a big group of cars behind me. Exiting the hairpin I gave it too much gas and spun out, the guy directly behind me had no where to go. Complete accident. Then after that, I just kept screwing up. Spin after spin after spin, lap 29 I just decided to park it in the pits. I was already last, no point in isking destroying anyone else's race.

Race 2, my strategy was to hold everyone behind me up (as legally as I could), pit early and get some clean air for myself. It was working great, but when I pit after lap 2, Scanny went in with me. Didn't expect that. Then of course, I spin on cold tires, and take him out with me. I try to limp it back in the pits, but my car was dog-legging like a bitch, and I couldn't control it at any speed above 50 mph. I had to press start and ghost my car going down the back straight to make sure nobody hit me and wait until I was lapped by everyone else. I parked it in the pits again.

In short, typical me.

Same TnJF , I got knocked off spun out then in frustration. I crashed 2 times causing damage , ended 2nd last having done 4pits, in the sprint I was behind mule tried to pass on the outside but didn't work so got passed by brosif. And trying to keep draft put 2 wheels on the grass and spun, the worst races ever!

Looks like, so far, I have made the right decision  What happened man?

not by anything to do with the event organization, cars, etc... just the internet being a b.

a lagging car got me in both races + heavy damage = last place.
had ~5 total laps of excitement. *shrug*

Brosif, I tried to reply to you but you left the room before I could.

It's hard to practice during the week when I work nights, and I pretty much sleep/can't sleep and I'm really tired all day.

Starting behind the big 3, you never actually expect them all to crash and leave you in the lead. If you would have told me that Me, chorda and Wardez would be 1,2,3 on lap 10, I would have called you crazy.
Today that happened. I essentially had the lead through lap 15-16, where I finally got bitten by Suzuka.:grumpy:
I spun coming out of turn 1, caught the inside wall and got severe engine damage, along with some suspension damage.:yuck: Pit on lap 16(I think) and headed out intending to finish on one set, changed my mind, and now I regret not staying out. Only managed to grab 8th. :(

Satisfaction I can grab is holding the lead for quite a few laps, and running a 56.213 late in the race.:)

Fantastic first race overall though, imo.

Second race I got damage before we started, in retrospect I should have driven a damaged lap and then pit on lap 2. Pit twice instead, had a good comeback going, but then 2 crashed cars pulled across the track and into me left hand side entering the final chicane. That left me able to hang onto 7th for a "good considering" second race.

Thats some bad luck :(.

Congrats to Aderrrm for both race wins! Truly amazing.

It was a great first race. Every one in the top ten seemed to've had the lead at one point.

I had a very good and textbook first two stints staying up around top 4. Then went into the last lap in 4th to bring it home and somehow just lost it, my only off, going out of the esses, motor damage... cringe.

Anyway, it was an amazing race full of every scenario you can imagine going down, very very intense running with a field so fast. After the start it seemed different people just started to get popped off. Lap after lap I'd be passing people that had just had a big shunt and it was just CSL, Dennis and I for a while. Then Adam and Brock eventually caught up with Dennis at the front by a large margin. Just played catch up till the end with those three. Then I was able to catch up to those three after they had their big battle (red, green, and blue NSX's lol Honda RGB) and Denilson fell to third with me right on him with his worn tires and my freshies.

Tony managed to slip by us and I took my time using a couple of laps to stay close behind Dennis since there weren't any other cars that close by. Made my move around lap 30 then I had my amazing lasp lap off to "secure" 7th hah.

Sprint race was a bit confusing as CSL let us know during the end of the formation lap that he had been damaged by accident so half of us hesitated and the others took off. We managed to stay in our starting spots somewhat but every one was totally spread out so it was a totally random ten laps with cars everywhere it seemed. Still fun and I had one of the most clean three wide runs through Casio chicane with Alex (GV) and Dennis and that just really made me happy, no contact at all can you believe it?

Anyway, thanks to every one for providing for an absolutely fun time and a successful first race of PURE. Can't wait to see what the fastest lap was.

I'm gonna be updating the OP through out this week with every rule and stipulation that was in the PM's and more, especially a rule about people getting damaged during formation laps, to be absolutely clear.

Again, PM Dennis or I if there's any concerns at all. Results should be posted tomorrow on the site.

All the best,
Eddie

Exiting the hairpin I gave it too much gas and spun out, the guy directly behind me had no where to go. Complete accident.

That was me. There wasn't much to be done, this stuff happens and I'm not really that worried about it. But if I might make a suggestion for next time:

When you feel the car start to go and you know you've got people close behind you, don't try and save it. Just stomp on the brakes and let the car settle. It costs you some time, but instead of your car fishtailing from side to side across the track you just keep going in the direction you were when you lost it. It makes you much more predictable to avoid for the people behind, and even though you lose time you increase your chances of escaping the error without damage so it sort of evens out.

In this case, I saw you lose it off to the left. I went to go around you right, but you snapped back to the right. Had you stomped the brakes, you'd probably have ended on the inside of the track and everyone would have avoided you because it was off the racing line.

First race i think everyone from 6th to last got ****ed up at some point, that was fun! Had to pit 3 times.
I started last and ended up in 6th, considering i had engine damage and made 2 more pits then what i had planned, it was decent.

Second race i started in pole due to inverse qualy positions and did a perfect race. Everything went so well that i could even make a safe and slow last lap.
Thanks MULE for allowing me to get some gap :)

Yeah, really not happy with those races. First one I was just making bad mistakes, and could not match my pace in practice. For the first 20 laps, all I had was nerves, just could not focus and as a result the novelty of my qualifying result wore off. Sorry to Wiifreak for the punt as well, right before the chicane there was a ripple of lag across the screen, cue missed braking zone in his draft, really wasn't intentional.

Second race was even worse. So much confusion at the start, just as we get on the straight chorda accelerates too early, naturally I followed then braked hard, as no-one else had started, causing Aderrrm to rear-end me so I have damage, then I spin at the first corner. Just as I was getting back into contention on lap 6, GV-27 and TJnF span right in front of me at 130R, I braked hard but both of them lagged, so ofc I get damaged again, and I'm out. This is the kind of frustration I had in WSGTC with the Z, and what made me consider not actually taking part in this series.

btw guys, we're headed to Spa in two weeks so every one have a good break and start practicing early :D

I'm heading to California to spend time with family for Thanksgiving from Wednesday to Saturday so I won't be posting too much around then just so you all know.

Also we'll be doing the GTP Inter-League Challenge race at Spa on the 3rd of December with Adam, Brock, Tony and Dennis if everything goes right. I'll be streaming the race live on my Twitch TV channel so please come by and root us on! Should be fun to watch.

Anyone have any pictures or results recorded for D2's races?

Thanks to Paginas for stepping up to host.

just a quick note div 2 room went really well no disconnects didn't seems to have any lag what so ever

I think Paul seem to be the guy that was worse off but apart from everyone seemed to have fun which is the main thing...

I got photos on my phone but don't know how to move them to here ool

This is the kind of frustration I had in WSGTC with the Z, and what made me consider not actually taking part in this series.

Hope you stay with us Biff, you really are making incredible strides in pacing and the GT-R really suits you. The first race could've, and does, happen to any one of us all the time so once you get more experience under your belt you'll become a real force to be reckoned with. Sorry about all your incidents.

No problem man. I only got minor right rear damage (just a small red dot), so I didn't lose any time from it. I did end up spinning in the first corner right afterwards but the damage wasn't what caused it.

After FMSC I'll watch replay on heat 1 before deciding if I want to report the incidents the others caused , but they all ruined me after lap14 . I was ready to kill someone so kept going off again and again in pure anger, I ran a 58.8 in the race in my rage but every part of tonight has been a "Pure" disaster!

Also Minion your heat 2 start was rubbish , you were meant to go to the Right not stay left as a result everyone behind was in single file!!

Fastest D1 laps, amazing pace guys:

Had a decent start. Leading some guys I knew were faster. Between that and being nervous I bobbled some. Saved it and was back on track. Trying to settle down the nerves. Got a good run with Pag. We come into two side by side. I thought he had me by a nose do I lifted early. He too lifted. Now we both expected the other to be out front and went got the apex. LOL. I jerked hard left to avoid him which worked till I got tires dirty. Whipped right into to his door. Was like oh come on.

Still learning the NSX. Overall. I am happy. Last race managed to keep it on track.

Oh I had the dreaded pit glitch. uggggh I know wha I did. Last out the car accelerated back up to 97 mph. So I can in under throttle at about 90-95 and it bit me. I recommend coasting in. Also a lil speed sign or some idea of speed would be cool PD. ;)

Look forward to more seat time in this car. Hopefully by seasons end I can drive it like the old Calsonic. Smooth and consistent.

Thanks for host Pag.

I did have a few moments of frame rate drop. That is Wierd. Chop chop chop feeling. Random left and it cleared up.
