Thanks to the organisation for this!!

"Feature race" was not bad, considering my lack of experience with worn out tyres. I got the wrong tactic, as I should have made it a 2-stopper, and I also made a couple or three mistakes that cost me time, after a misunterstanding with Adam that ended up with me in the gravel pit. Even if the result could have been better, I still had a classic, clean and fair moment with Rees. Great side to side 👍 . And on the last laps, since my tyres were dead, there was a hard but fair fight with Watson. Kudos on being so far under such circumstances, man!! In the end, 12th; could have been better but could have been worse.

As for the second race, it was strange to begin with, since someone got damage before starting and at the front we didn't know whethere we were racing or not. In the end, we went for it, and it was good again on the first laps. I even had an extremely exciting moment with Eddie and Dennis on the Casio Chicane 👍 Fairness all around! I decided to pit on lap 4th, since I get nervous easily when I'm in a group and I go slower. Figured it'd go better for me. But I spun on the 130R (sorry guys behind me!) and this killed my race, sort of. I still had a nice battle near the end, but finished 8th. I feel without my spin, I could have been perhaps 7th or even 6th if I had been efficient. Still, a sufficiently good debut weekend with the "bigger cars", which is satisfactory to me, even if a bit bittersweet.

Congratulations to Adam on his wins, too!

My only big disappointment was my fastest lap being 1:58.5 (approx), even if before the race I was able to get a 1:57.9 (my first 57 ever at Suzuka with a PURE-spec car).

Also Minion your heat 2 start was rubbish you were meant to go to the Right not stay left as a result everyone behind was in single file!!

I thought pole could choose what side he wants. Sorry guys. But i would adapt and take the inside lane if i was starting second and pole was outside.

Had a decent start. Leading some guys I knew were faster. Between that and being nervous I bobbled some. Saved it and was back on track. Trying to settle down the nerves. Got a good run with Pag. We come into two side by side. I thought he had me by a nose do I lifted early. He too lifted. Now we both expected the other to be out front and went got the apex. LOL. I jerked hard left to avoid him which worked till I got tires dirty. Whipped right into to his door. Was like oh come on.

Still learning the NSX. Overall. I am happy. Last race managed to keep it on track.

Oh I had the dreaded pit glitch. uggggh I know wha I did. Last out the car accelerated back up to 97 mph. So I can in under throttle at about 90-95 and it bit me. I recommend coasting in. Also a lil speed sign or some idea of speed would be cool PD. ;)

Look forward to more seat time in this car. Hopefully by seasons end I can drive it like the old Calsonic. Smooth and consistent.

Thanks for host Pag.

I did have a few moments of frame rate drop. That is Wierd. Chop chop chop feeling. Random left and it cleared up.

I'm annoyed at myself with that incident, I had a weird feeling that you were going to lift ( maybe as we know how each other races from wsgtc ) and I was going to just keep my foot in but I then I thought it was just rude as I was on the outside LOL

if it didn't happen I think we would of had a super good battle as our pace was the same, I just couldn't get a good run at you because of the straight line speed you had.

anyway was good fun, was thinking about dropping this series because of the time it start but I did have good fun, so Owens you've got to put up with my yellow car for a while now lol

Lol sorry Alex, I kept saying Casio but it's actually "Casino" just so you know. Good racing man.

He's right Paul, it was our failure to clearly address the rule and ask Minion what side he would want to choose before the race. Which we'll definitely be better about for the future DH races.

I was under the impression it was the Casio Triangle? :dopey:

Glad you are gonna stay. You bring a good persona to the race room. :)

The NSX is fast on straights that's for sure. Those tighter turns though. ... Not so much. LoL

Definitely! Casio's a Japanese brand, so that's where the name comes from. Probably somebody forgot that and mistook "Casio" for a miswritten "Casino", at some point, and wrote that on Wikipedia.

If any one could help us with PAL replay uploads of the D1 race and PAL & NTSC replays of the division 2 races that'd be a huge help. Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time to do this and if you have any questions about where to upload it let me know 👍

I really enjoyed my races today. Had no damages or off's in either race. I drove within myself the whole time deliberatly and am really rapt with 9th and 8th.

I saw some very considerate driving today. In the later part or race one I got passed by a couple of guys. They waited, found the right spot and passed cleanly without cutting in front. Allowing me to have time to break a little earlier and not shunt them in the slipstream. Awesome!!!

Thanks to the organisers. This is going to be a great series.

Now if I'm not mistaken the points for race 1/2 will overlap for a few spots.
Meaning 12th in D1 will get less points then 1st in D2, correct? (or something similar)

lmao, all good. I especially love the "profession results" job good spectacular mate 👍

btw guys, I just checked D1's race 2 final results and it looks like no one did better than the fastest laps in the feature race. Just saying because the bonus point will only be handed out once and it can come from either division 1 or 2, and either the feature or sprint race.

Race 1 results (Tim and Alex had an extremely close and exciting final lap, great job guys that a great run through the last turn together 👍):

Major frustration but i can't say i am dissapointed by my performance today. I only did 1 real mistake. On lap 1 in the main race i spun @ 130R miscalculating the draft from TA's rocket even though i was cautious and got damaged so i had an extra pitstop.
From then on i was pretty much flawless even though i had to manage some extra tricky situations on the last laps with ''no-tires'' chorda and TA. (BTW to Dennis, i think that when your pace is so badly compromised its a bit naughty to fight so hard to keep your place and even try to recover it. It's your right i guess, but its not like i am chasing your teammate, so you could make our life a bit easier(mine and Eddie's)).
In the end i had only 2 laps to cover a 4 sec difference with Adam so i decided to stay put and not risk anything after all that work coming from last place.

Race 2 was done again on lap 1, on the formation lap when someone for some reason slammed the brakes on the main straight and caused mayhem on my line. Sorry CSL for the damage but there was nothing i could do.
I immediately pitted but had to pit again within the legitimate window so i was f'ed again.

Big cudos to Adermm for the outstanding result.

Does that mean I get a bonus point? :) Oh
That would be a nice pat on the butt for an "almost" race.

Edit: Forgot about NOSS, guess we'll see now.

Pretty impressive to manage a 1 stopper here.👍

Still regretting not doing the final 16 on one stint.:banghead:

Sorry guys, but I'm considering just quitting GT5 altogether after the races I've had tonight in PURE and FMSC. Maybe I'll feel better in a few days but I've really had enough, the number of races which have stressed me out far outweigh those that have actually been fun. Appreciate the effort you guys make for this but I'm in a full on 'why bother?' mood.

Well, I had no tires since I got damge from a spinning car on lap 15.. So had no choice but to try to pull it off in one loong final stint.
And sorry if I did not let you and Wardez pass so easy.. Since we raced for position and all.
I understand that you wanted to pass to chase down Aderrrm.. But hey.. Your fail can't be put on me. It's not like I was driving unfair.. One time, my fronts did not grip comming in to spoon, and you turn in towards apex even though you knew I was there.. I hit your side, you went a bit wide.. But I still let of, and let you pass.. Seriously.. What are you on about? Jeez

Ha biffy I'm actualy on the same wave length as you all 3 of my races tonight were completely horrible , no fun just alot of anger...

And on the heat 2 start I was 4th and mule was pretty determined to start on the left side and muzz wasn't sure what to do either so I just stayed inline with muzz as did everyone behind me it seemed.... (if I were 2nd I'd of moved straight over to the right.)

That's something I'd like clarification on.

Do we have the right to defend our position fighting valiantly (to put it nicely) but fair, when the car behind is clearly faster? I tend to let a VERY faster driver go by, only when he's really close to me, but I wouldn't do even that much in the closing stages of a race... but I'd like to know if that's acceptable or not.

what's wrong with putting up a fight for position? Its racing, its the persons fault they are behind even if they are faster

Totally agree, IMHO the only time you should let another driver past is if you are being lapped, other than that, I think you're pretty much throwing away positions.

I don't think it's throwing away positions when faster drivers tend to be VERY aggressive against slower drivers. They go inside in places you may not expect them (I know it's happened to me) and sometimes it makes more sense to give a bit of space, only if they are really close, rather than blocking at all costs, which may end up with both cars hurt and on the gravel pit.

also great video wardez shame you binned it on the final lap, not sure how Dennis or remy stayed on the track with their tyres lol

Yeah true, but even if the overtaking driver is faster, it still doesnt give them priority to have your positon, but you have a point. I guess then it just depends on how you mean blocking at all costs e.g. if you are literally sliding everywhere due to barely any tread and yet still trying to keep a position, I think then it's probably better to give way, but yeah, I think it's debatable.
