It would be cool if we could regulate the wear rate on different compounds as well.
If so, it would be fun to allow RM tyres that wear much more in relation to RH's.

So like use "normal" for RH
And "fast" for RM's.

Would open up for some nice multiple compound racing.
Like in F1, when Softs might only last for a couple of laps.

This would've made La Sarthe a splash n dash I believe. The thing I wish was that fuel consumption increased. But from y'all are saying, this may be so. Haven't fired up the PS3 since Sunday. I guess I'll find out friday since that's the soonest I'll have time to practice.
 
More practice today, and I'm certain that the update has made me slower. Stuck in mid 46s, but at least the laps are clean. Cut line will probably be 47 flat.
 
GT-Rs and SCs really took a hit with this update and the HSV gained.

We're looking at our options right now but the spec's aren't changing this week. Good thing you can make up for slightly slower qualifying times with the draft in a race. For Nurb. that's not possible.

I haven't had the time to run any other car other than my Z. I was slightly faster, but honestly, that car is completely ruined for me. She was a beast, but I honestly had fun pushing that car. It's no fun taking her for a spin anymore. :irked:

I'll look in to the car specs later today.
Will report back in 7-8 hours once I've had the time to go thru the cars.
Suzuka will be the place for that.

As Eddie say, it's late for spec changes this close to the race, and foremost quali dead line.
But if we can set new specs in stone today, we'll start using them instantly.
Just don't count on it.

So for now, the specs stays. But we're working on it.

Whilst practicing last night, my wheel broke. It would keep losing the force feedback then lose steering and reset itself. I tried uplugging and resetting , all to no avail. Its dead.
After speaking with Josh, he has given me his wheel until i get a replacement. It means he wont be able to race until i get a wheel. I am going to look for one t+oday. Hopefully, it doesnt prevent him from missing any races. I will keep you informed.

The advantages of being a parent ;)

I had a DFGT and Josh was using an old DF pro.

At the start of JGTS2 I let him use my wheel.
Unfortunately , I have reclaimed it (wicked parent, lol). I am not sure what to buy? Maybe a G27 or for just grab another DFGT?
 
haha... uhh if you got him a G27 I'm honestly scared of the potential. The racer in me says, " Get him a DFGT" and the racer me says, " Give every one even more of a challenge."

PC World G27 £169 - next day delivery (mine came before 9:00 am next day) which is un-heard of around here (most couriers come at 4:55pm, 5 minutes before deadline finishes).

I woke up, went and got a coffee, walked right past the box stting inside front door (thinking there's no chance in hell it'll be there at 9:30am). Got coffee, walked straight past it a second time..

Fired up my PS3, cursing and swearing that next day couriers only ever deliver 5 minutes before afternoon deadline..

Hour 1/2 later, more coffee needed - bit more awake now, this time saw box - "huh....wasssssdat...?" , check label, PC World - woooop woooooop woooooop..

Btw guys, it would really help if every one could try out all the cars and post times so we can get this thing sorted out quicker. Again, we're still going ahead with 1.5 specs for Monza, but the data we're going to be collecting from here on out for the next few days will prove invaluable in preparation for round 5 at Nurburgring, so let's roll! All we're asking is that you sacrifice a little bit of practice time in your regular car to just do maybe 3 or 4 hotlaps in the others at Monza for comparison if you can. Cheers.
 
It was a fun testing session yesterday, did a nice amount of laps and we had a few great races.

I got in the mid 45' but still Tony and Basse are in a league of their own for the moment.
 
Ok, i did some testing with the gtr. I got the same time with the Z and the gtr.

Z 1.44.9
Gtr 1.45.0

I was a second slower in the Z with the update than i was sunday night. So i think its more about finding à new setup than changeing specs.

I am struggling with understeer and can't seem to shift it. Cheers

oh, so more realistic in terms of weight transfer being the primary concern with suspension setups. Does this get the game one step closer to finally eliminating that "tail dragging" nonsense with ride heights?
