Who Wants To Live Forever, great track also

Has to be Bohemian Rhapsody.

Got a funny story about Queen. My old man was pretty heavily into Queen, and being the innocent young child I was I had no idea about Freddy 'playing for other team'.

Now, Dad wasn't the most perceptive or tolerant man on the block, so when I finally realised the truth about Freddie, I mentioned it to him, expecting a big and unpleasant response (I think I was about fourteen or so - just at that age where you start winding up the old folks).

His reaction? 'Duh - where have YOU been?'.

Very funny.

I never rated his music that much but a couple of times his (and the rest of Queen) music has touched me.

I don't care if he was a poofter the world is a worse place for his passing.

Got a tear in my eye, sheeeit.

Damn.

My favourite band of all time  cant decide on a favourite track as they had so many classic tunes  a few faves are bohemian rhapsody , another one bites the dust , one year of love , dont stop me now and many more ..... freddie mercury had the best male voice i have ever heard in my life and his variety and range of singing is 2nd to none  sadly missed by me and to this day still my most kept going back to albums in my collection , timeless and meaningful and pure class :) R.I.P Freddie ;)

Bohemian Rhapsody was said to be the best rock song ever

By who?

The best rock song ever is "Stairway to Heaven," followed by "Satisfaction" by the Stones.

Are you kidding?

I guess it's your OPINION, but that song was pretty damn bad!

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is better than it, anyway.

'Under Pressure' was pretty much my 1988 HSC class' theme song, so there's a bit of a personal connection there.

You're entitled to your incorrect opinion - I wonder if it's been influenced by that wretched Vanilla Ice song that sampled it.

Actually, that song may have completely shaped the opinion. The Vanilla Ice song came out, when, 1990? I'm not sure if I've ever heard the entire "Under Pressure" song (I don't NEED to).

By the way, "Under Pressure" isn't a very good class theme song - maybe "Never Say Goodbye" by Bon Jovi or how about "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For?"

Seriously? Some of their songs ... suck, I must admit, but I am enthralled with several of their songs, some for reasons merely personal (with no regard to artistic merit).

Of course, seeing your posts in this forum I must say that some of your music could be called in to question by myself for it being without 'artistic merit.'
