Yeah, that would probably be better. After all, there's no guarnatee that a moderator will see this thread.
If you don't know how to send a private message, click on the moderator's name to trigger the drop-down menu and select "Private Message". You'll be taken directly to a screen where you can send your message.
If you don't know how to identify moderators, keep an eye out for users with a purple "Super Moderator" tag under their avatars. If it's a pressing issue, or relates to an ongoing incident among the forums, they're the people to see. However, if it's no urgent or you cannot find a moderator online, you can always contact a Staff Emeritus. We're former moderators and we have the light blue tag under our names. Forum policy doesn't go through dramatic changes, so we can usually answer your questions. We just can't take action against someone.
If you're looking for a list of moderators, there are two places where you can find it: at the bottom of the page, there's a sub-section marked "What's going on?" with a list of every online user shown. Moderators are distinguished by bold, dark blue names (however, there's currently nothing to distinguish between Super Moderators and Staff Emeritus). You can also follow the "View Forum Leaders" link just underneath "What's going on?", which will take you to a list of all staff members and Premium users (just make sure you send a message to a Super Moderator, Administrator or Staff Emeritus).
