Question regarding network/system options

What does the clear system cache do on the PS3? Is it the same as the 360 where it delets your patches/updates? Just curious for future reference if needed.

very old topic but i have the same quesion.. for both gt5 & gt6..
will this delete patches & updates?

Not at all, clearing the network cache on GT5/6 is safe and recommended every so often. Whenever a driver experiences problems in a lobby, like not being able to see other certain drivers, or inability to get on track, rebooting the game and clearing network cache are the first things you try.

Getting rid of patches and updates would be done from the PS3 XMB menu, not from within the game.
