I'll admit, though...the 300C look does suit it. The rest, as my friend Jonotan Gronoset would say, is blargh.

That is so awesome!

That is sad. Kids these days don't know that a Stromberg is a make of carburetor.

(Next question: "What's a carburetor?")

A carbu...what?

Nah, I'm kidding :sly:

One question: Is that a drag car or a show car?

I'm pretty sure the Justy is a joke :) Love it.

Kids? Aren't you a kid as well when put relatively? Not everyone are junkyard dogs, not everyone are obsessed with old ****. The game moves forwards, you can buy a 20 year old car and it's EFI. I don't think it's sad.. Sad would have been if you never owned a car with this carb you're speaking of, but you still knew things about it :)

Why can't it be both?

Because looking like a show car makes it go slower (car audio, excessive interior, etc add weight). What's the point of putting that engine on a car and then make the car heavier just for the looks?

Most show cars get trailered everywhere anyway, might as well not bother with an engine.

yea im constantly seeing hot rods and customs full up with subs and dubs... :odd: honestly, look what it is! the scene certainly has nothing to do with making their cars slower!

I see no problem in installing a large engine in a vehicle that is also dressed up as a show car. Haven't you heard the phrase "all show and no go"? Well some people like having "show AND go". ;)

That doesn't necessarily make it a show car. I've seen personal-built race cars, American muscle, and finely-tuned imports that are constantly raced and entered as show cars.

There's no reason a drag car (or any race car) can't be engineered and designed to a show winning level.

Millimetre perfect welding. Excellent paint. Nice, tidy engine bay. Well thought out, tidy interior. Sure, it doesn't have 29 speakers and six cows hides, but a that sacked Neon won't (or shouldn't) have a brake bias controller and fuel lines running through the car.

It can and has been done.

Good thing I own one, then. ;)

Still, it's something from a bygone time that's slowly disappearing. Call me nosatalgic, (I like steam locomotives...and was born LONG after they were taken out of service,) but I can't help but feel kind of bad that these arts of mechanics are fading away.

I mean, I almost cried inside when someone told me to replace the O2 Sensor on my 1988 Nova...

Which doesn't have one, because it has a 2BBL.

Ah the carburetor, I have one on my '89 Jeep. Of course it's a Weber, which is waaaay better than the stock Carter!

Not so much the modification as the quality of said mod. What happens when Electronics and Hydraulic systems are designed by people without college degrees in Engineering.

Very expensive and very major "OUCH."

This is actually a company car, a cleaning company which has all pink cars, they have quite a nice hot pink beetle too.

This is only here because of the colour choice, i actually like the WRC kit and the wheels, it just needs to be black, white or silver...

I found these shoes rather questionable...
