Ehem, what do you mean? Do you mean that WE MAKE STUPID TUNING CARS?!

I mean every time I picked a copy of Maxi Tuning I felt like throwing up. And everytime I saw Flash Más Que Coches it seemed like a horror movie.

I wasn't sure where I should post this.:odd:

I personally think it looks pretty cool...Questionable or not.:sly:

Loose the green tints on the windows, and the Bently would be awesome as a cruiser, in my book.

From the modified car show I went to today:

The Rover made me laugh just through lack of effort. It looks like it's been modified in the same way Richard Hammond did to his Hyundai S Coupe in a recent Top Gear - unpainted bodykit, steel wheels with wheeltrims...

Saxo: That's a Muffler PER cylinder!!!
Previa: All would be forgiven if it went sideways.
100NX: Questionable, definitely, but what beautiful airbrush work, nonetheless.
Rover: taking bets on how long those panels stay unpainted. I have fifteen buckaroos on An Eternity.

Didn't you take these off barryboys ?

Bah, there's a Saxo in Colchester running 6 or 8 mufflers
Also, that MG could be styling, he did the interior too!

No, I photographed them myself, today. Well, technically yesterday as it's now 3 minutes past midnight here. But it wouldn't surprise me if they'd appeared on Barryboys previously.

Ive seen some of them on barryboys allright, I would make an account but I'm not paying for an email adress im going to use once to sign up.

The Saxo at least has been seen on BB before:

I'll check the others later.

Edit: None of the others seem to be, though the pink bozosoku Hiace in the background of one shot has been:

I have noticed there are more of these horrid creations in the UK compared to here in the states. I am just wondering why? Is it because of the car selection there tends to be more of the smaller import types and there are a ton of cheesy aftermarket parts available for the idiots? Here there are imports like this all over don't get me wrong, but there are so many options when it comes to "sporty" cars here mainly people have mustangs etc. Most of the mustangs aren't stupid looking but rather all of them look the same. They all have the same type rims and same colors and hoods and blah blah.

I think you're mainly right. There's essentially little wrong with the base cars that people then turn into pieces of awful, but because they're generally the sort of cars that young, new drivers can afford then they're the sort of cars that young, new drivers want to modify. And unfortunately, it's very popular to go for big bodykits, big wheels, nasty interior bits and since the Fast and Furious films, awful graphics too.

I was remarking to my mate when we were at the show that it's funny how trends change too and how certain cars become the darling of the "modding" and "cruising" crowd and others fade away. The poor Vauxhall Nova used to be the weapon of choice for awful modders everywhere, suffering from their awful mods like the one below:

And yet, it's actually been a long time since I've seen a Nova that bad. More recently, the Novas I've seen have actually been very nicely done, like this:

Indeed, at the show I went to there were a couple of very serious and seriously quick Novas on the circuit, such as this one:

Now, the typical badly modified cars are the Corsas, Puntos and Saxos. A higher proportion of those cars are absolutely bloody awful than any other car I think.

Well I could be called a "chav" from the way I dress and the music I like but , I certainly do not like stupid corsas with huuuuge fake veilside kits and halfords alloys.

I've always considered chavs to be an attitude thing too. I work with some people who do the whole branded tracksuit and techno music thing but they're a great laugh and genuinely nice people. And of course, it's a driving thing too. It's perfectly possible to have an awful, chavved-up car yet not drive it like an utter moron. Rare, but possible.
