My experience.

People's experiences are influenced by their preconceptions. If you assumed it to be a pile of crap before you drove it then you're more likely to find it's a pile of crap. I'd not given them much thought at all before I drove one, and I thought it was fine. As a holiday rental car there was nothing wrong with it - it was practical, comfortable, had loads of space, didn't drink too much fuel and handled well enough to have some fun and scare an Audi S4 on Route 1. My only major complaint was that it was pretty damn slow.

Anyway, as mentioned, I've been over all this before.

I disagree completely about the comfortable bit. The seats don't seem to be too awful, but the dashboard seems to be designed purely for aesthetics as the bottom "corner" of it winds up hitting my lower leg at pretty much all times.

Then again I have the same issue in the Neo... Oh wait. Different interiors but both have that annoying corner on the dash.

I dunno about you but I'm not that tall, 5'9" ish and I fit fine. I think that it was an auto helped too. It doesn't really matter what you do with your left leg.

'50s hubcaps don't work in 18"

And will you lot quit arguing about the PT? Personally would get a GT (240HP turbo If I recall) if it were available, but, homeforsummer's quite right, this has been discussed before, now quit spamming this thread with useless talk.

^THAT'S more like it.

All we can hope is that no REAL Clio V6 had to give up it's bodyparts for that piece of...um...human Waste.

Well, place the engine in the back, turbo it to 200 HP, tear off that stupid mesh, and paint it metallic blue and...

... Actually, it'll still be a stupid poser car, but at least a well done one. I'd drive it, if the interior got the same dark blue treatment.

^ It'd still look stupid even with the metallic blue. It's a 205 with punto headlamps and a clio v6 bodykit which suits the lines of the body perfect haha.

20's would be conservative. Looks like 22"+ to me!

As for the tyres, can't you see he sprayed them on with Matt Black paint!! :P

all those huge rims and he couldn't afford to get decent amount of rubber wrapped around them? definitely questionable.

V8 Subby? That's awesome!

no it is not. that rubbish engine has higher CoG than the original boxer engine, thus it ruins the driveability. and yes, I'm using same argument against pushrod V8 that pushrod V8 lovers use against OHC designs. :sly: oh, burn..

If I would, you wouldn't have anyone to have an argument with anymore. Would that be fun?

Actually it would be great fun.

I see nothing questionable about putting a V8 in a WRX at all. You do. End of story. Can we have the next picture now?

Yeah. It should be a HEMI.

I mean, geez? What's wrong with SBC conversions? No-one complained when some guy stuffed a Ford 289 in an AC Ace....

Oh, wait...it was a Ford.

Not a Chevy.

I think I figured out the problem. Fords and Chryslers are okay, but GM sucks. :3 (IJOKE)

((Also, ironically, that car was built when GM had a stake in Subaru...))

Actually, it probably doesn't.
Leonidae
thus it ruins the driveability.
Even on the off chance that it does effect handling in a minor way, you would have to do a lot worse engine-wise to ruin the dirvability of a WRX. You know, considering it comes from the factory equipped with gobs of turbo lag and a narrow powerband. If anything, its probably more driveable than it was before.

Is it questionable? Yup. Is it automatically worse? Nope.

If it's an all-aluminum LSX, then the center of gravity isn't going up all that far. I'd rock that thing hard. I wonder if it's still AWD?
