Why do people black out the taillights?

While they may all be epic (in your eyes...the only one I like is that Japanese Cadillac) they're all still questionable. Although that Cadillac might have been a bit too good for this thread.

In my opinion, apart from the top 2, they all look great apart from the fact they're slammed, I personally think any slammed car is definitely questionable.
 
Looks shopped but gut feeling says it isnt.
