Not sure how I feel about these new 325is.

Bit concerned about the new 4-Series as well.

Wow, a few hours of not being on this thread and it's already a few pages forward of the last post. I was worried when I saw the NSX in this thread, but then realised it was easily fixable.

I did :sly:
To be honest I think the Vectra gets a lot of undeserved bad press. It was a reasonably equipped, reasonably priced car designed to get you from A to B. The chassis may have been poor for track use, but it is perfect for motorway driving. The interior wasn't high quality but it was a lot better on that model Vectra than the one that followed (soft touch plastics vs wheeliebin plastic!) and no worse than it's non premium rivals.

Back on topic, my friend decided he was going to mod his crash damaged Suzuki Jimny. He started by cutting off the exhaust and welding on a pipe exiting underneath the passenger door. Of course the first bump he hit snapped the weld holding it to the floor and it fell off.
He also bought a £2000 turbo kit, ECU and air intake for the car. Literally 2 weeks after the parts arrived his car failed it's MOT due to dangerous amounts of rust!

Its still not a good car. Its also not good to look at.

The Vectra is Britain's Camry.

Sure, it's a perfectly good car, but it's just so apocalyptically dull.
This is exactly what I was trying to say. It is a functioning car and it works and its good for a first car I guess, but it hideously boring.

Not even a Vectra deserves this.

I honestly don't know why people attach so much stigma, my dads had 2, the silver one was average, the purple one was brilliant. Honestly a nice car to ride in, and decently quick too.

I'm sure it's a good car but... sorry, it just doesn't make me feel anything.
