That is a 1982 Corvette.

it is a 78 or 79, 80-82 models had a kick up at the tail, different indicator lights longer rectangles and split in two, the front fender air vent was more visible with black louvers also the bottom of the nose was further forward than the top. 👍

Most definitely questionable if the donor was a genuine M3. I don't have anything against converting a car into a pickup-thing, but you don't take an immensely popular and relatively rare performance car, chop it up, and stick it in a museum.

I don't know. It seems to me that BMW themselves did the chopping, because they needed a high performance pickup. for some reason. The car probably never had the chance to be an M3, before the Bravarians pulled it off the line and chopped off it's back.

It looks like the Factory did it, to me, anyway.

it does look like a good conversion yes, but im still thinking aftermarket job.

For a start the E30 M3 was never produced in that colour, and BMW didnt have that colour as an option on any of thier cars for at least the 1987 model year if at all until the E36 M3.

(kill me if im wrong...)

Also, if indeed it was a Bavarian invention then i would think at least some number of pics and spec would make it to the internet, and as of yet, ive found precisely nothing.

But who really cares anyway, it looks okay but its still blasphemy on a massive level! 👎

Edit: damn it, wrong again, just found this link.

Flick through the pictures to see that 'truck' on the grounds of what looks like a bmw museum...

This WAS a 1994 Mercedes-Benz E500. :irked:

Found on mercedesshop.com forums. Killing an E500 is heresy, but can I put it out of its misery? Please?

Although I must say that whoever melded the two together did some nice metalwork.

where is it, and what is the member's name?

EDIT: funny how he can afford all that and can't afford a new antenna seal...

Someone needs to be shot for destroying what once was a beautiful W124, then congratulate him on some decent metal work.

LOL. It is true: the metalworking's good, but It's no pretty piece, either.

And where else but California? the Smog restrictions do crazy things to those enthusiasts..

1. I think it's a repost, or I've been trolling the Top Gear website again.
2. Is it just me, or does it look entirely made of Bondo?

Well I question a few of them, such as the white truck where they stuck the late 90's 1 ton dually bed on the snub-nosed cab.

they are all ugly for sure :p
heres a funny thing i saw, i know its not a car but if their service is as bad as their spelling im sure some questionable things leave that place :p

i did see some crazy owners trusting them with their vws tho :scared:

If putting a gas tank behind you wasn't bad enough, It looks like the bike crowd has a thing with spoilers also.

It looks to me like he pocketed the antenna (term: "frenched antenna").

no, that hole you see is always there, there should be a rubber seal covering it up but apparently he blew his load on the metal work... I hope he gets enough water in his trunk to ruin whatever sound system he probably has back there
