Nothing. It's just got a different name depending on the country. In Australia we called them Bora's until the newest model, which is now called the Jetta. I think America has always called them Jettas.

Ohh cool.

They've always been Jettas here, and thankfully they have no plans of changing them like they did with the Rabbit/Golf/Rabbit. I believe Jettas were also called the Vento for a while in the '90s in Europe, but I think that was just the MKIII models.

ROFL... Rabbit...

@linkinevo: Hows the Wolfsburg working out for you? I've been looking into '01 and '03 Wolfsburgs (mine is a '96 Wolfie), and I always like hearing about how the owners feel. I don't know how soon I'd be able to buy one, but I'm looking no less.
I love it, the tuneablility of the 1.8T is awesome, the seats and the suspension are very good, for a stock set up. The suspension is about perfect for me because I do not want anything to stiff right now, but at the same time it is still sporty. I may upgrade to GLI spec but not just yet. You just have to watch out for the electrical gremlins, which mine does have in the windows, and sometimes the seat heaters. Having a warranty is a must, as mine has already replace the water pump (at 45K) which is plastic in the MKIVs. But the build quality is really good, but the car I had before this was an '03 Neon so take that as you wish.....

Thanks for all the advice guys. ASAP I'm going to go out to some VW dealers and check em out in person and drive a couple. Now though I have a little background info. 👍
