GT5 killed my ps3 twice now ( 60g model ) :indiff: first time i fixed it now its dead for good cant fix it i was wondering if its possible to take my atleast DLC i bough from the PS store back ?

Take it back? The next time you log on with your account on a new ps3 you'll be able to redownload it

If its YLOD then its an easy fix

Yup

I think he did temporarily fix it, but couldn't a second time. I was able to do it about 7 times before it quit on me for about 2 months.

I fixed my YLOD three times now but the last time when I started it it gave me an HDD error while updating. Maybe I'll just buy a new HDD... And the next time you'll log in to PSN you'll have access to your DLC, as for the saved game I'm afraid it's gone (unless you have a backup)

Cook the motherboard in your oven for 10min @ 170*C/320*F
After that replace the thermal paste.

I did it with a heat gun, but I only heard about the oven method after my PS3 was done. Still got the thermal paste though. Arctic Silver

Used the oven method and the same stuff. gets complicated though since you have to cover everything up everything that cant burn.

You are correct

You can redownload it every time you sign in on your current existent account even after your PS3 had gone broken... :)

If it was a YLOD then your harddrive should be fine. You can take out the harddrive and if you have a friend with another fat PS3 you can stick it into his/hers and transfer the data off of the harddrive onto your new PS3. Not all is lost my friend :P

Im not sure if this is 100% accurate. When you swap a HDD from one ps3 to another it needs reformatting. This means you lose any game data that uses drm in it's game saves and DLC. I'm not positive, but i think GT5 uses drm.

yes your stuffed if you cant get in going for 5. to save your file, and you cant swap hdd to another ps3.i would hate my gt5 file to vanish like that, youll know now to back up files. goodluck there might be one last breath in the old dog yet to get that file

i cant speak about drm, but this 100% does not work. you take the hard drive out and stick it in a different machine..... reformat or it wont work. but your dlc is under you psn download list, just reload it on the new machine.
