Is that a typo or is it really minimum power and maximum weight?

That's the way it was submitted to me.

Can we get confirmation that that's what they meant? I could easily see that as a typo.

If they really mean maximum weight, I don't see how that can be confirmed by watching the replay. Power yes, weight no, that's why our proposals left no room for improvement in that area. I'm inclined to dismiss any proposal whose specifications can't be confirmed by watching the replay, just FYI.

A tiny modification to this point will surely not appear in race. Regarding a "non-modification" of the weight will result in a much faster lap time. I think we all know each other and can evaluate what are the limits for a given driver. Bobkart in front of Momo, that'd be suspect, eh? ;)

Hi Fella's

No typo.. It was set up that way specificaly for the race and pack. I'm contacting the driver who submitted it, to ask if he wants to change the spec.. or leave it as it was intended and risk your wrath ;) we've got big time differences at our board, so might take a day, but I'll post here as soon as I get an answer, ok?

no Mistral...we can't think on gt3 values' basis, that'd be wrong cos they're 2 different games and an unknown driver may come out from nothing and beating Momo...(as it's happened in Nissan 350Z champs there in France ;) )

This was discussed a month ago, and the general consensus then was that people wanted more freedom in designing their races rather than submit all proposals with fully upgraded cars, and cared less about having to rely on trust. I wish more people would have spoken up at that time so that all of the current proposals could at least be considered equally by each team, rather than half of them being thrown out immediately because there's a parameter that might not be presently verifiable.

I'm guilty of not being as involved in the earlier stages of this competition as I would have liked to. I've been very busy with work and have not had much free time lately. For that I apologize.

That said, I realize it's a little late for me to be suggesting people don't leave room to cheat in their proposals. So my FYI comment was more of an advisory that if the proposal in question was actually as posted, then I would be less interesting in voting for it. Take it for what it's worth, which probably isn't much in this case.

My position is that these Boards Challenges are tough enough to keep free of controversy without gaping holes in the race proposals that create situations where a suspected cheating situation can be neither proven nor disproven. That leads to a lose-lose situation in the end, with both sides of the dispute unable to get satisfaction, just my opinion again.

And again, it's too late for my position to affect any proposals, only my team's voting. And as a slight rebuttal against the thought that only proposals involving fully upgraded cars can pass the test of verifiability, keep in mind that power levels can be specified pretty much arbitrarily since they are shown at the beginning of the replay. Weight is not apparent by watching the replay, which is what I have a problem with. Our team submitted many proposals that did not involve full-upgraded cars, yet they are all verifiable because I left anything that couldn't be verified "open" (such as weight).

Bobkart mate. No worries.. don't think anyone took offence or thought you were S*** stirring :) It's a very valid point, and besides we all know the score.. many of the delays were due to people on hollidays or busy elsewhere in many of the teams. In fact (in a way), thats what caused this prob. We had, (still have) quite a few of the team doing thier best to fit it in. Thats why we put our races together working to the original schedule, to get that stage out of the way. But back then, the concensuss of opinion was back and forth a bit and hadn't really taken shape.

I'm still waiting for my man to get back to me. I think he will ammend it, but if he chooses not to, I'll stick by his principles, coz at the end of the day people can vote for what they wish ;).

I'd like to ditto bobkart's sentiments. In our Team forum discussions prior to submitting, I had to constantly remind our drivers of the issues surrounding non-verifiable settings. I think for the most part, we were pretty successful at putting together a decent list of verifiable proposals.

This BC has been handled superbly so far, by both the Admin and participants 👍

It would be a shame, at this point, if the comp was marred by a scenario described by bob...

I understand your concerns Bob, and I share them (even if I was mistaken regarding weight changes).

tire wear and penalties?

OK sorry for the delay fella's. I have ammended details of the Torc Talk
Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 v6 T1 @ El Capitan Race.

Power: at Default 0% (413hp)
Weight: minimum -10% (909 kg)
It's still a 164 A-spec point race, but the AI is a little easier.
If you could ammend it please Duke we'd appreciate it.. Thanks.

Is it Racing Hard or R1 tires?

Their proposal calls it out this way. I would assume they mean Super Hards, but we'll wait a little to see.

Clarification on what car this is, the closest listing I have for it does not include the word "Skyline", and does include "LM", you have "LM" in the poll so this seems to fit. But I can't seem to find it at the Nissan Showroom. Looks like it can be won at the Dream Car Championship. Please confirm.

That would be the Pescarolo then. I don't se it in my Arcade Car lineup so I'm assuming I have to purchase it in GT Mode to make it available in Arcade Mode? Please confirm so I don't waste 4.5M Credits.

Yes, this car can only be bought.

Thanks eggman!

Do you know anything about that car in my quote?

I am pretty sure that the link is the car Mistral.

All corrections to date reflected in first post. Still waiting on confirmation of car for GTPlanet's entry.

Polls open! I anticipate leaving them open for about 48 hours, but that can be discussed.

Is it legal to cross the white line on the outside of the exit of the 1st left after T1, their is more tarmac over the line and enough room to drop all 4 tires over, is this allowed?
