Have you ever thought you have what it takes to become a real-life race car driver? Well, although this won’t put you in a real racecar, it will give you the opportunity to go wheel-to-wheel with real life “Gamers to Racers” or better known as GT Academy graduates. I have been able to contact and organize two seperate races with GT Academy graduates, as well as some of the best “Sport Mode” racers in the game currently; from all around the world! “Well what does this mean to me?” you may be asking, there are open spots still left in order to fill each lobby, and it will be filled by you guys, the GTPlanet community!

Community Qualifying Information:

There are extra spaces open on purpose! We intend to fill the room with you, the community! If you think you have what it takes to challenge multiple GT Academy graduates and FIA Sport Mode legends, then you have to chance to qualify your way into the lobby!

There are a few restrictions though:
- To ensure quality racing, you must have ratings of at least DR:B and SR:S
- Your qualifying time must be faster than 1:22.287 (quarter second slower than my example lap)
- You must submit a “proof of time” video to this thread
- Your proof video must follow the format shown in the video below (lap, car settings, lobby settings)
- You must be using the BoP as found in (this post)
- Please do not post multiple lap time videos
- Entry deadline for video submission is Friday Feb. 23rd at 8:00pm GMT


Lap Upload Tutorial:
1. Make sure you can meet all the parameters stated above.
2. Complete a lap, then show the car settings and lobby settings.
***lobby settings must be identical to those in the example video below***
3. Press the “share” button.
4. Trim your video in your PS4’s “capture gallery” to the desired length.
5. Upload your clip to YouTube.
6. Post the link of your video to this thread with the correct formatting.

Balance of Performance:

I have created a more balanced and equal Balance of Performance for every Gr.3 car. This Balance of Performance will be used for these events. Please be sure your power and weight are set correctly, as I will be checking to see if it is correct. Please ignore the official BoP used in Sport Mode. The BoP that will be in place are the BOLDED columns.

Changes to race settings
(changed on 2/2):

Start Type: Grid -> Rolling
Fuel Consumption: 2x -> 3x
Tire Wear: 8x -> 7x

I just wanted to let you know that when you click on the "Race details" for Race 2, it shows "Race 2 Information" and "Race 1 Rules and Room Settings". You might want to change the bottom part to say "Race 2 Rules and Room Settings".

There are 5 community qualifier spots open and only Djschwartz (me), TNR_FILO, Oscaro_Miura, and Gtr3123 have posted a qualifying lap (even though gtr3123's lap is invalid). Does that mean that so far we are all in race 1 (except for gtr3123)?

Once race 1 is complete, there will also be a qualifier for the remaining spots in race 2 (if there are spots left), so be on the lookout for that.
