RACE Crayola Fantasy Series- Talladega Posted

A common theme of the races this year have been close finishes at the end of long green flag runs, it's been good racing overall on all the tracks except maybe Auto Club once I fixed them crashing every lap
 
Looks like the DQ's for Irwindale will be getting 35th place points
 
PAINT SCHEME RULES
  • 4 races will allow, and encourage, custom paint schemes: Fasturd Enduro, Papyrus, Hula Hoop & Bermuda Triangle
  • At these 4 races, anyone in a custom paint scheme will receive priority starting over those that don't. In other words, the front of the field at the start of the race will be entirely custom paint schemes
  • If you also provide a custom pit crew, that will earn you a bonus 5 points per each race with one.
  • Paint schemes must look as though they came from the late 90's early 2000's
  • No sponsors that came into existence after 2002
  • No repeating sponsors unless they are on the same team as you
  • I will not be helping anyone else with paint schemes, as was my policy last season.
  • You have until April 16th to submit paint schemes.
  • I will make a media folder on GTPlanet where you can submit your own or other user's PNGs March 1st.

Can you make me a scheme for Bermuda and Hula Hoop (the heck are these tracks, Jah? I fear for my life already... :lol:), and I'll come up with one of my own for the other two rounds? Feel free to create a snazzy pit crew if you so feel like it. 👍

Hula Hoop is a 2 mile circle, Bermuda Triangle is a 2.5 mile Superspeedway, here is a race held on it

Two mile circle? So it's basically NASCAR Rumble's Collosseum track on steroids, I assume. :lol: As for Bermuda, that's a rather nice track, very cool scenary to go with all the racin'. It's like part Homestead, part Talladega...

In my opinion, I think those tracks will provide the best racing of the season
 
Created a fairly simple pre-2003 livery based on one of my favorite games of all time. It's not the most artistic, but hopefully it'll work.

Will send when others start sending so I don't feel awkward.

I think I should have priority since my weekdays I spend 6 hours at home (sleeping) and I only have weekends to do stuff. :lol:
 
Sponsor priority will go in order of points as of Irwindale, should two liveries share the same primary sponsor (Secondary sponsors can be primaries on other cars), the one lower in points will have to change.
 
What software are you guys using to create liveries? I've never done stuff like this before, and do I need to install a program to handle zip files or is that some other file type?

WinRAR (Ignore the free trial is over thing, it never charges you), Paint.NET (Free program), Paint.NET PSD plugin, should be all you need

Photoshop, Gimp and Paint.net are the most common.

Photoshop, GIMP, paint.net. Software that can handle working with layers.

I've never gotten the hang of GIMP, but Paint.NET I use all the time

It is a bit of a challenge to get into, but not having tried the others I can say once you've gotten over the initial frustrations, it can be very rewarding. Hell, all my avatars now are made with it, much less the cars and VRR race posters for the Indy series.
