so, David Coulthard drives a real AMG SLS which as every driving aid known to man, he knows his track, probably practiced a ton, and we GT5 gamers have to be blindfolded until the seasonal comes out? Still , Awesome, and like with every other Seasonal, there will be Gold.

Yes!......

I think GTNurd will win this quite comfortably unless he can't put a lap together ;). I checked GT Academy rankings and I was about 5 tenths quicker but to be fair he did not do many laps judging by the entry time so shows he has good raw pace.

I'm currently sitting in a welcome break on the M40 on my way home. I'll write up what happened when I get home later, (via the Motor Heritage Museum at Gaydon).

With regard to tyres, we started using Sports hards, but they were too fast so for the final contest itself we changed to Comfort Softs. Aids were all off, except for ABS at 1.

We were also using the inbuilt "fail lap" detector, ie red laps times weren't counted, but we were also being watched closely at the first corner exit and the last corner exit in case we ran wide over the white line at the edge of the track.

Loads more later.

Hi daan,

Correct. The point with this is "we", meaning the contestants and not DC. I've been hearing and reading that he was cutting the track quite a lot while we were racing in GT5 with an adjudicator sat behind us marking us down for an inch! :irked:

I personally feel, some may disagree, that we switched to Comfort Softs, even though we'd done qualifying with Sports Hards, to give DC a better chance of winning. The possiblity of rain at the TGTT may have also been a factor.

My Tip : Reverse at the start line to the cones then you get a better starting speed (well I do but that might be my rubbish gambon corner.)
Also, do a lap to warm up your tyres. It makes a big difference

ABS can be set from 1-10 in the menu beforehand.
Currently stuck at a 1:17.082.

My first attempt at this at the second to last corner I went off bumped the wall and was right back on the track again but MY NEXT SIX LAPS WERE INVALIDATED FOR THAT ONE MISTAKE, so I exited...
