Lagmans drunk:sick:

Made my day! 👍

I'm back guys! :trouble: did you miss me?

Anyways, this week, we've gotta try yet another different type of course...

We just had the most challenging of all preseasons - it went well. We already had a wide-open (Silverstone) preseason... And we had the "blend" track, with Apricot Hill. Now, though... Now we're going to an absolute classic - a gem in the history of ITCC that created intense racing and tests the concentration of the drivers almost as much as Monaco.
We're going to the old Mountain, to test our bravery past both the Lochness and the monkey.

We're going to Trial Mountain.

P.S., I expect you to get your wheels off of the ground. :trouble: Let's see your best curb-hopping!

@Turbo_snail has/had his own Trial Mountain avatar. I had a Trial Mountain avatar...

If you don't know yet, Trial Mountain is my favourite ITCC course. It's by far the most fun circuit we have for these cars - similar to Algarve (Portugal) in terms of elevation change, but unlike any other track in the flow between corners... You're almost always flat-out, pushing through corners that fall away at the apex...

Gosh it's fun!

The Trial Mountain pre-season is Saturday, right? Maybe if I could get GT6 by then... :D

I may struggle to race next Saturday, depends what time I can get back from the Autosport International Show at the NEC.

I'd venture to say 1:33s are just slightly off pace... Maybe 1:32.6, if I recall correctly, is a good time for mid-field... Then again, new cars with more power in GT6... Entirely different.

So 30's 31's then

Oh there goes NAS, a bit twitchy--

 clear your cache please. You keep D/C'ing after a huge lag spike.

Anyways, a few things are coming up before Trial Mountain...

1: Ride Heights - I'm not enacting a minimum ride height, but I do recommend being careful about setting it too low. TM is a very bumpy circuit, and we make full use of the curbs. You do not want to bottom your car out. Do what you need to, to ensure the car doesn't bottom out. I would recommend a setting of 85/85 or 90/90 being the minimum - your car's steering will feel terrible if you go too low. Check your ride height if you roll off slow, and can't find grip.

2: wall riding for gains (of position or time) is strictly disallowed from this moment on in ITCC. I'm hearing that people were using "wall riding" to their advantage at Monaco. No, not allowed.

3: handbrake turns - disallowed as well. The tire smoke and break in rhythm can cause unnecessary car contact. If you cause car contact/damage, the same rules will apply as if you intentionally hit the person who was damaged directly.

Basically, if you look at WTCC Macau videos, they don't even use the handbrake at the Macau hairpins... Ever seen what happens if someone makes contact there? The super-tight Macau hairpin is deemed a "no-passing zone," so that people don't make contact going in and block the entire circuit. If you pull a handbrake turn and block the circuit, that will result in a penalty.

Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring that we have somewhat smooth races. Remember that last season, we had a car spin across the entire field at Trial Mountain, simply because we went crazy at the green flag.

If we all do our part, we can survive the inevitable traffic jam on the first lap... :)

If we Are about to go off course can we use the e-brake as long as we don't smoke up the entire track?

The Audi is simply awful this week. Every time I take a turn I'm lucky to make it with my life, it is terrifying...

@TheYaShoe, @Furinkazen says you're doing it wrong. ;) :lol:

@nascarfan1400, if you're about to go off-track, ideally you want to aim as straight as possible and try to regain control in an orderly fashion. If you really feel that you can control it without interfering with anyone else's line, go ahead. But, as ever, just know that you are expected to regain control in a somewhat orderly fashion. J-turns etc. don't normally happen on the track. But, if something goes wrong:

Yeah, re-enter safely please...

It's generally a good idea to use an unavoidable collision to encourage drivers to prevent avoidable collisions.

I'm not saying that: I mean to say, don't cause a stupid crash. I know that it's hard to stop on grass, and I realize that the V8 Supercar was out of control already, but I'm trying to clarify that you should be careful about re-entering the circuit, because look what happens when two cars meet from opposite directions...
