Erm, let's just say that you need to have four wheels on a hard surface (pavement or concrete), and may NOT hit any pylons. This works for every corner, and eliminates the chance of nas going from T4 straight to T20.

So far I have tested the following cars in offline mode:

Ford Focus ST '06, 2:11.357
Volvo S60 T-5 Sport '03, 2:12.257
BMW 330i '05, 2:13.177
Audi S4 '98, 2:13.555
Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 24V '98, 2:14.178
Honda ACCORD Euro-R '00, 2:14.484

All cars have been setup by using Oppositelocks Spreedsheet, and therefore all times should be based on equal terms. Obviously each car can be tweaked to further performance, and depending on the drivers, the times should drop even further.

But it is a good reference to see which cars suits the track best. Has there been any thought about applying additional weight penalties to the different cars?

Are you testing in offline or online mode? If you are running 1.13s online then you are going to be a strong contender.
Can't believe how quick the Volvo is, can't believe I didn't pick it!

Andrew I am still confused about the track boundaries on the stupid pointless chicane corners (like t1), so we have to be 2 wheels on the track at all times and the kerbs themselves also count as track? Or is it just the black stuff that counts as the track?:confused:

The times are unfortunately offline, but as I wrote, it feels like with a bit more fine tuning, all of the cars are able to go even faster.

Just clocked a 2:11.357 in the Focus. Even in offline mode, that is fast. It has such a good balance.

Anyways, @JacobRPP, welcome to ITCC 4. Those are some excellent times in the respective cars, offline or not. I would say that a 2:13.8-9 would be a pole position qualifying lap online.

Siggers, we'll be running with all four wheels on a hard surface - curbs and track are hard surface, as well as the run-off in T5/T6. Don't hit any pylons, don't cut across the track - I'll be watching!! And try to keep all 4 wheels on a hard surface. I'll give you four laps per race where you're allowed to "oops," but if you cut continually, I will ask people now, to keep an eye on the cleanliness of themselves and fellow competitors.


If someone else beats you because they're going through the grass, tell me and I can add a time penalty.

Awesome, lets see how I go online. I just wanted to test the different cars. Still waiting for my internet connection to be finalized :(.
If I cannot make this race, I definitely will join the next round. Not a noob, just been without an internet connection for a couple of months.
 
My cars never roll much at all. Even in real life, I go with a stiff anti-roll bar. :)
 
As many times that I've put the back end in the wall, they should rename it Ass-scari.

2:13'6 is my best after 10 laps.
 
No time for any practice this week, hope to get some in before tomorrow.
Has my new teamy improved his lap times yet :nervous:
