Any media hosting site will have it's share of smut. FA, just on the name alone, probably has more than say Tumblr just because it caters to a specific group. DA gets a rap too.

It's not the idea that people died that is funny, it's the idea that people (Some jokingly some seriously) believe that the government orchestrated the attack that is funny.

Well I can say that Michelin's series ad comes in about 35 minutes into the video after what I like to call the NASCAR Pre-Race Show with Clayton and Nas (name subjective to change :lol:), and let me tell ya... it's chock full of Twisted Metal (the game, or the literal meaning of the expression? Are we really having a discussion about why a 9/11 joke on a car isn't appropriate? I'm all for making jokes like that when I'm around people I know won't get angry over it, but come on; you're making light of a major tragedy, and if the scheme was run, anyone on the forum would be able to see it if they wanted to. Also, I'm pretty sure that's not AUP appropriate.

Weird because I know for sure I've seen several posts, including two from F1 caption thread, featuring a picture (in one case, a moving GIF) with the Brazzers logo on it and I didn't see any of those guys banned. I can only assume that person wasn't doing it in the same fashion.

Thing is its the name of a race and its not on a car. Even then, these aren't even real races so its again not promoting anything. Just because racing sims have buildings with the billboards from that track doesn't mean they are promoting or endorsing said companies. Otherwise, that would make for some oddball logic for Porsche to promote their brand in a game that they didn't even license their cars to.

Creating awareness is publicity and promotion, on car or not. The Porsche logo is there because it is on the real example of Circuit de la Sarthe - and why is it on Sarthe in real life? Promotion for the brand.

You literally ignored where it said its "not intented" and just bolded what you wanted. How is that proving your point? That entire statement (not just what you boled) literally means "we are not promoting these businesses", which is the opposite of you basically telling me that the presence of a logo is automatically promotion.

In the end, not only am I saying that isn't not necessarily true but you are also misunderstanding the AUP, which does not specify having logos in a video as "Promoting a business".

Gonna take this to the PMs as we've already wasted posts on a discussion that's gone completely south.

Actually I got the ban for "un-useful" post on one of GT6 update thread. However I believe I got called out with an admin when I did that meme thing.


It may not really worth the risk. I'll let mods decide with this situation. I probably got called out for other part, particularly when admin called my memes unfunny to hell (which I admit it is :D But still scary considering he can ban me at anytime if he didnt like me) .

No further action will be taken this time. The reason I didn't run it is because of a certain image that was on the car that breaks more than one rule of the AUP. I'll let your imaginations run wild with that. But you have to be on something if you think that that car would actually make it into the grid. This isn't reddit, it's GTPlanet. The rules are different.
 
I leave this thread for a day and come back from the Indycars to a salt mine. :rolleyes:

I'm glad I did spend a day over at the racing today after reading the last page and a half.

Here's hoping I'll have a better run at The Glen.

Finally watched the race...through one eye while 3/4 asleep...and I have to say it was very good. I do wish my car had actually finished in the middle of the pack instead of just getting shuffled to the back of it YET AGAIN, but twas enjoyable.

I do need one bit of info though @nascarfan1400, so I can do my records do I go by the main screen rundown or the ticker rundown?

Yes, but not for the first few races, as getting the season rolling is more important right now. Ill release a Google Forms soon to let you all choose your scheme. As for now it will be pretty random. Though I have taken out the Canadian schemes that some drivers made so that its realistic enough.

Kuni's inability to drive - The fact that she has not been penalized leads me to believe that the series runners are unfairly favoring her team, it's like they have a vested interest in their success

6:30 Perhaps, but the curbs had only a slightly lower grip
Kuni - Worth noting that she was given a 3 race probation, which is actually more action than usual (See Last Years second Glen race)
17:30 - Gotta love when the 40 to 60 values favor 60

What AI Aggressiveness was this run at? I typically for my series go 101, unless it's too much of a wreckfest in which case I will turn it down :lol:

While we feel Whitetail's comments are misguided, we will refrain from fining or penalizing his team. All drivers are entitled to their opinions, and said opinions can help mold future success for the series. Our Stewards had a lot on our plate today and we are human too, we make mistakes as do our drivers. We apologize for the bustop incident, but it was concluded there was no oil on the racing surface. What it was, honestly is anyone's guess. Some speculation says it could have been "weepers" as the raceway experienced heavy rain the night before the race. Again, we respect Mr. Tails opinion and will not take disciplinary action, as we feel there is none to take.
