RACE Reporter: We've caught up with GTRacer22 here, who was just released from the infield care center. Feeling alright?
GTRacer22: Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit pissed off.
RR: What happened out there?
GT22: After watching the replay, I'love admit I'm a bit confused. Why the hell my teammate just turned Doodle into the wall, I have no damn clue. As for why Doodle didn't use his brakes, I have no idea either. When you're involved in a crash and you car is totaled, you hold the brakes. You don't let your car roll down the banking right into the path of other cars. I tried to take evasive action but I just couldn't react in time. Must be a TKU thing. You can't fix stupid, I guess.
RR: How is this going to affect your current championship standing?
GT22: Well, after two dismal weeks in a row, Armory and then here, it's a rough time for us right now. But, I think that we can rebound at Martinsville. It's a good track for me, and I'm feeling pretty confident.
RR: Thanks for your time.
GT22: No problem.
 
First, Yay! New car unveiled!

Second, what is there to say, Amaterasu downright dominated. was nice to get our lap back AND not screw up the finish.

RACEtv: Whitetail, great comeback drive from 41st on the grid to a well-fought 13th. How was the race from your perspective?

Whitetail: Yeah, glad somebody noticed. My guys on the timing stand were complaining the TV cameras weren't giving us the coverage they thought we deserved for that. It took a bit longer than I wanted but we got back to the lead lap after your typical Martinsville shenanigans but just missed out on our top-10 goal for the day.

RACEtv: How had was it to avoid all of the carnage and melee that is associated with this race track?

Whitetail: Melee is an understatement. *laughs* Everybody in this paddock does not care about your feelings, that I can say for sure, it's absolutely mad out there. I'm sure to expect some angry tweets from the cars behind me there on that lap 137 restart for letting the race leaders into turn one without the probability for vehicular homicide. As a small team it's important to keep the cars in good shape and keep from tearing them up so I'm sorry to all of the powerhouse guys behind me who don't have to worry about that.

RACEtv: This is the first race of the season without GT Sport on the side of the car, what is up with the change?

Whitetail: Nothing too significant. Polyphony Digital wanted their livery on the side of the car through the duration of some larger gaming conventions and they write us a big check to keep these Pontiacs at the track so we happily obliged. Now that most of their shows have come and gone they are reinvesting that money into the game itself so it was time for a change. They will be back though, don't worry about that.

RACEtv: From 41st at the beginning of the day, Whitetail brings the #9 home 28 positions up further than it started. Thanks Whitetail.

Whitetail: *nods, puts on sunglasses, and walks to the trailer*

RACE TV - We are here again with RESHIRAM5 who had a bit of a let down run.

RESHIRAM5 - Do you really have to keep rubbing it in? Everyone whose going to see this, has likely watch the race.

RACE TV- Oh right, anyway, first time on Martinsville, thoughts,

RESHIRAM5 - If I could describe it 2 words: Baby Park, it was chaotic, I had hardly any idea what was happening since everyone was compact and was easy to overlap. Good banter with @Davis though.

RACE TV - Your car broke down during the race, first time you failed to finish.

RESHIRAM5 - We don't need to say it like it was bigger than Undertaker losing his Wrestlemania streak, It was going to get sooner or later and honestly, there was nothing we could do about an engine failure during the race, I've accepted it. Our car is relatively old as compared to the Autobacs team as we are low on the Honda priority list of supplies, hopefully we can get it up to date for next race.

RACE TV - Thank you for your time.
 
"I figured this was another track I wouldn't have too much speed at so I just focused on keeping it in one piece and not finishing a lap down. It was quite a fight though, especially with undoubtibly one of the best rookies this season. The Turn 1 contact was unintentional as I just had wheel hop going into the corner so I had to dial down the brakes. After the pits, we had a car that was actually better and I could race more with it and was able to keep it on the lead lap. The carnage was just insane out there as there was some ambitious moves that just weren't gonna work. I barely made my moves work *laughs* Happy with that, three races in a row that we've made it to the end and the best finish for us this season in 14th. Congrats to the 11, not only does he actually get to race the rest of the season but he even got a win. Hell of a place to make your presence known"

Seeing a crash front hand that happens inches away from you is spectacular. But man, that 11 car is a savage :lol: I almost got 3rd but hey I got 2nd last race so I can't complain :P
 
Aw yeah, dawg! Short track racin'! All I can say is that I'm proud for (the winner of the 24Ever 200) on a stellar win. Pretty crazy race, too. Of course, expect nothing less when you are talking about Martinsville.
 
Was doing so well until my AI decided to be a derp and pit with 10 to go.

2 potential wins I've thrown away now.
 
I'm not watching any of these until Wham! Fest is over. I can only watch the races with the audio on, yet I also have the resilience to wait out the 20 days.

Even if so, I'm not taking the chance.

I just hope I don't return to view the standings and see my season turn to crapicola.
