So, what have we learned today? Japan isn't paradise and New Zealand is very open minded.

I don't think anyone would think less of you for not pulling the car. I'm kind of like amaterasu. If I am in the chase, I need the points, if not, 80 car likely would not be there.
OK, let's do it this way then. If it is fully repealed with no effort by the NC government to close the wounds they opened, if I'm out of the chase, I'm out of the race. If they do make some genuine effort to fix things, I'll race. If they do as I think they will and it isn't a full repeal not only will I not race period but I will NOT set foot in North Carolina until they do. In all cases, keep the politicians away from me, as I will be very tempted to...enlighten them on their wrong decisions...all of them.

I'm genuinely curious, but beside from voting in the law, what else would they be able to do to fix the problem than repeal the law? Is a published apology really worth that much over there?

SVX
And people say the flag is the only difference.
No kidding. Australia is like "we don't like the video game Saints Row for whatever reasons" while New Zealand are more focused on getting everyone laid. My perception on Kiwis will never be the same.

No. There's not a politician worth a damn in this country. They are all liars and backstabbers and are not to be trusted, except to screw you over. Some do accept an apology, and while I don't know what they could do, I'm certain there is something tangible they can do to help the issue.

It's my only hope at this stage I guess. :sly:

That makes no sense then. They aren't mind readers. If even the side against them doesn't know what would solve the issue outside of fixing the source of the problem, then the clearest answer is that repealing the bill is all they can do. Unless you are able to give evidence or even a suggestion, the correct answer is that there is no additional action possible.

Welcome to American Politics.

I don't know what to tell you, other than I'm an idiot, even if I try not to be. There's LGBT organizations that could use a boost, there's reparations to those who were wrongly accused under this farce of a law, beyond that I have nothing because I have no knowledge of the community. Even saying all that I have so far, I'm probably overstepping my bounds due to my idiocy and ignorance on everything.

So, you are referring to a monetary payout? Is there a civil lawsuit out for that? If there isn't one filed, there is no need for them to. And if someone has been incarcerated for breaking the law while it is in place, they still broke the law. That would be akin to changing the age requirement on a driving license and everyone with a license below the new age limit getting their license revoked. Grandfather clause, in this case, enforces the fact that if they broke the law while it was in place, they'll still get prosecuted for breaking the law because, well, it was a law. But that's from my perspective.

The moment when a more civilized discussion happens here instead of almost everywhere in the Opinions Section...

If it were up to me, Id pardon any fines for people who violated the law, but I have a clear bias.

Also - There will be a new 80 car coming soon. Based on a video game. Any guesses? ;)

I'm probably going to guess Atom Universe.

People can be incarcerated without being charged with a crime. It happens almost all the time with everything from public indecency to capital murder. I was thinking of those who were victims of people who publicly accused them of being in violation of the law when they were in the right. The nature of the law made it unenforceable, but some...beings...decided they "knew" someone was breaking the law and actually had them arrested. Every case I heard of they were released without charges, and they very well may have started a class-action but I've not heard or seen anything about it to now.

Then unless those people start a civil suit, nothing will amount for it. If they were released without charges, then it shouldn't even appear in background checks.

In fairness I don't get it either. I've never seen...wait a minute. I'm guessing Crash Bandicoot now that I think about it.
Wow. Y'all are really missing out on a great game series.
