Its on Speed Channel. Pretty good stuff. Its funny watching the NASCAR guys get totally worked on this course, since its not just left turns. Jeff Gordon was supposed to race, but was sick. So, Casey Mears took his spot. He an Jimmy Johnson were the 2 NASCAR drivers. Heres a link with the schedule of when its on again....

Well, that was sarcasm in my first post, but you did see the results, correct??? I mean, I know that even though all they usually do is run circles (except Watkins and Sears), they are good drivers. But, honestly, they got school'd in this thing.

i know Jimmy Johnson's rally car got stuck in 5th in the rally race (2nd or 1st round?) in the nations cup. then in buggy's Mears only lost by like less then 1 sec.

I can't believe that thing with Coulthard at the end... that was crazy! And I wonder if anyone has ever been hit by his helmet...
That was Coulthard? I thought it was Alesi?... Oh well... It was a while ago that I saw it...

That was great when Alesi stopped in the middle of the final race of the final round and got out of the car ... I was rooting for Kovalainen the whole time...That was great though.

And with regards to the Nascar boys getting "worked" on the course, they had absolutely no practice in the cars, except for the Citroen. Mears had a lot of trouble with the paddle shifters on the Ferarri, which was to be expected; and I think that if Mears didn't have that battery problem, the US team would've made it a lot further. Especially if Gordon was there, instead of Mears. Gordon was flying last year in the rally cars...literally, he flipped or almost did, if I recall correctly. Oh yeah, he went up the embankment on the side of the course when he landed a bit sideways off the jump.

Hey, would-a should-a could-a. Like I said in my post. I'm sure they are great drivers. And, I'm not saying it doesn't take skill to go fast at a super speedway. All I'm saying is, when it comes to this kind of racing, they will get beat 95% of the time. Yes, Gordon is a good driver. It shows every year at the road courses. But, he wasn't there, and the Nascar guys got beat out in the very early rounds. Thats all I'm saying. When it comes to non-circle track racing, they just won't be competitive. They don't do it enough to be that good at it. Thats all. I'm not knockin them, too much..... :dopey: :dopey: :dopey: :dopey:
