I’d have to agree probably the best online racing I have done this year has been Super Touring in this game. it is a bit track dependant the experience at Zolder was not so great!

However I am a little tired of repeated fixed setup races for 15 minute sprints.

Feature races can be good, but the rotation is too slow and I am likely to only get one race an evening :(
Yeah I have to admit I didn't look too deeply into the rotations last night, I got into a couple of fixed setup sprint races pretty quickly. I can imagine track choice plays a big part, classic Silverstone seemed to be OK, there's a few areas where people lack awareness like bridge into priory and braking into club and village. Otherwise it was mostly clean and had some fantastic battles.

I hope awareness gets better once the game handles radar itself (coming soon from some screenies posted recently), rather than requiring third party software to do it.

Saying that I've done nigh on 50 races now, and have only been properly killed twice! DNF on the first lap hurts the ratings hard!

Yes radar will be a huge help, especially with more touring car based series which are naturally very door to door and very level.

Having fun with the time trials, snuck into the top 50 of the BMW M Hybrid @ Indianapolis combo, what a joy to drive that car is. Around 98th in a GT3 one but for the life of me I cannot remember what track it was.

Edit: It was the KW Challenge at Donington GP, using the Ferrari 296 GT3, 49th on the leaderboard.

Down to 56th in the Hypercar Indianapolis combo.

Took them long enough...

Now that actually makes me want to jump back in the game a.s.a.p.

can someone explain to me why we need so many "NGK Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020"? Especially with "Jasper Van Der Vaart" as the driver?

Big update coming on the 4th of August, brand new HUD, some track updates, new netcode and new content including the Lamborghini Temarario GT3, marking Raceroom as the debut for this car in sim racing. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo and Ford Mustang GT3 Evo also join the service as part of the paid DTM 2026 content pack.

It has also been confirmed that new Super Tourers are in development for release this year, the Ford Mondeo (circa 1999-2000) and the Peugeot 406. It has however been confirmed that they cannot get a license deal sorted with Nissan for the Primera. Also, the NSU TT will be getting some competition which is great as that is a very cool class to race with. The Raceroom sales director Christian Wacker-Bauer has also said that "cup" cars for one make racing with French flags will be coming as well, this likely points towards Clio Cup or possibly Megane Trophy cars. He has also teased the possibility of a licensed F1 car making it to the service.

Automated multiplayer series and championships will also finally be coming. Lots to get excited for!

Gutted to hear about the Licencing issues with Nissan. Hopefully they can actually get something sorted in the future, as so many of us would love to see the P10 & P11 in Game.

Interesting quote about the licencing:

“The only car we are not touching at the moment is the Nissan Primera as there was no chance to get a license done with Nissan,” said RaceRoom’s Director of Strategy and Sales, Christian Wacker-Baur.

He was also able to confirm that the Mondeo came about thanks to a new Ford licensing deal that also included the Mustang GT3, which will be released for the platform on 4th August alongside three other DTM models.

Hey All!
I'm really late to the R3E party, I remember trying it out a few times many years ago and couldn't get into it - no rain, no night, visually not great, yada yada. With the graphics update I got more interested but still never gave it a fair shake. Finally just raced it again after hearing about the upcoming Summer update and Super Touring expansion. Also wanted to give the free Alpine a go, as well as try it out with a DD wheel. Will be trying it out in VR tonight, as I've heard it's excellent in VR.

Pleasantly surprised is an understatement. FFB feels fantastic to me, visuals are incredible in 4K with settings all maxed out (shadows and view distance/LODS in particular are fantastic compared to most sims), AI is serviceable (although they seem to brake hard and early into corners), and runs like butter with triple digit FPS on my rig. I hardly race in the rain or at night anyway, and have other sims for that when I want to.

I'm totally sold and have purchased several cars and tracks on sale. I love that R3E has content (official content!) not readily available in other sims. The sad part - I missed out on the Ferraris, as the licence just recently expired :(

Reading that owners of the Ferrari content can obviously keep this content, I'm wondering if there is a way to acquire this content via a download possibly? If this is something someone can share and I can add to the sim? I'd gladly Venmo money to the generous individual :)

I not possible sadly. I asked the same question 6 months ago regarding the WTCC 2016 to acquire the Citroën C-Elysée and was told it wasn't possible due to strict digital rights management (DRM) and Cars and Tracks are locked until your personal online user profile verifies ownership through official purchasing.
