They will put up a fight, but the FIA only allows 1 blocking move. Swerving to block multiple times on a straight would result in a penalty.

Is that a regulation to make racing more safe or to control how drivers battle for the lead?

Yep most reasonable people would put a "LOL," smilies or other emoticon to portray humour, however many do not use them. I've seen many posts on here that were misunderstood.
I've no idea whether that post was serious or sarcastic, all I was trying to say was that I wouldn't kick anyone automatically solely based on a post made in here. That's just how I prefer to handle it.
On Topic: If in the lead on the final straight on the last lap (or on any straight or lap) I would use the standard one blocking move, if that didn't work out I'd just have to concede the position. As someone else has said, there are worse things in life than losing an online race![]()
VegardThe trick, from the defending cars point of view, is to make one "lane-change" to break the chasing cars momentum, without making contact.
Pesonally I just let the guy pass me without making much of an effort to keep him behind.
Good defensive driving is something I have given up completely when racing in random lobbies. People don't respect the rules of racing and cut across the grass to get on the inside or worse still, brake late and push you off your line.
It's a shame really because a good clean fight with proper tactical driving and clean moves is one of the most satisfying things you can do on a race track.
