I know how to RM cars and.kinda get the gist of them but what exactly does it add over u adding stuff to the car yourself?

If you RM a car you lose all the upgrades that you bought for it before.

1) It will be lighter than what you could achieve with alll levels of weight reduction.
2) The car will receive adjustable downforce on both front and rear.

Yes - but it looks cooler!

If you do it right,(RM first) it will give you all the upgrade parts without having to buy them all separately. It also add a lil bit of graphics.

You don't necessarily lose the upgrades as the RM includes them so you pay twice for items if you already moded the car. Race exhaust and the fully adjustable transmission are just two of the items it includes.

RM also does give a couple extras, a little lighter and ability to adjust the front downforce are two i know of.

I didnt lose all of mine when I RM'd my ZR1 & Elise 111R. It just removed the engine mods (sports cat, filter etc..) and I just had to re-install them on the car settings page.

RM basically makes your car a WORKs car. Like privateer teams have, stripped down to bare essentials then reinforced, roll caged, full racing transmission, full down force adjustment, wider body, sport hard tires, racing exhaust, race suspension, twin plate clutch, semi racing fly wheel. So if you do it, RM the car before you attempt to do anything else to it, will save you money.

What everyone else said. But I just wanted to add that the ZR1 RM fully upgraded has less horsepower than the ZR1 non-RM fully upgraded (100+ difference). So there's some funky stuff going on.

But in general, RM cars accelerate better, brake better, and turn better than their non-RM counterparts.

EDITED: misread.
