Racing Suits, One Chance Only

Quick question, was there a reason behind the decision to only allow us to choose our racing suit once at the beginning of the game?
I'm happy with my current racing suit but I'm just curious.

Like much of the game, it was a deliberate design choice carefully selected to piss people off.

I don't see a point to having a driver image at all. I see far less point to only having a few racing suits to choose from, and locking drivers into them for life. There are so many "why's" involved.

The helmet is what real bothers me because you see it more often then the driver suit. I personally wish the suit should just change by depending on the car you are driving like in arcade mode. As far as helmet, in real life all drivers have there own helmets and you always see them with different designs custom to the driver. Why don't they let us customize our helmets with our own personal colors and such? We could use images from our ps3 even. Wouldn't that be ideal?

They could have at least made it fully customizable or something, I chose the black/red helmet one and now i'm completely bored of it and it clashes with the paint of some of my cars.

Mine is all white with red helmet. I probably would change it regularly if I had the option, not sure why I'm stuck with it. Doesn't bother me though, if I'm being honest.

You're right, but the Shutokou he's talking about is the Street Racing version. Don't call him a "Weeabo" just because he likes Japanese Street Racing, rude sportsmanship to "Call Names"

I have the all red number - it just looks silly in the ferarri f1 car.

I have the full Red race suit with the Silver helmet and I don't really care what it looks like, I just picked a random one and got on with racing. No one should care if they only have one chance to choose their race suit because it's not at all important.

To you, or me for that matter, but it might be to him. It is pretty silly to not be able to change it, although we don't care to.
