If the Garage Showdown event comes to fruition could somebody in the race please film it? I think it would make for one helluva video.:dopey:

I will film the NTSC race from my view.

Now yesterday me and GTP_cudadude had a controversial moment on the track, decide for yourself if there was any wrong doing by either driver. Slow motion of the incident added.



Cudadude had been held up by the guy in front for a lap and I had caught him. My thoughts were that if I was going to win the race I had to pass him entering the spoon curves so I could pass the leader elsewhere. I'm sure everyone knows that is very difficult to pass there without wrecking yourself or the other guy.

I believe I got the car slowed down enough, as you can see we braked at almost the identical spot to eachother, and I slowed the car down to below 70mph which is more then enough to make the corner without the need to bounce off of him. I didn't feel the wheel jerk so if there was any contact it was very light, however it was upsetting seeing his car slightly out of control in my mirrors.

It should be noted I would never try such a move if it weren't the last lap.
 
Interesting, very. I don't see the controversy there, the lane was open and you had a fender inside of him. He didn't realize you were down there and came down on you.

You had plenty of control. He should have been more aggressive and held his line. :)

Pretty much as above, it was a risky move but the gap was there. No-ones fault, just a standard racing incident.

Yeah I'd call that a racing incident. Earth was fully along side him, fully in control and left him enough room to make the turn, looks like Cuda didn't see or expect him to be there.

I see no problem here. You were on the inside and did a clean pass. The driver on the outside probably didn't see you our didn't expect you make this ubercool manouver ;) Just a racing accident. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think the tunes are fairly even.
That'll make some good racing if we can all get together

Those races really were great, proper touring car-esque action.

:banghead: Yeah, I meat to ask if it was Van Halen, sort of similar style to Panama. Leddy boy is very different lol. The both have some good songs though. :dopey: Deep Purple on the Garage Showdown sounds good.

I have problems with that also (not knowing if someone is beside me). I think we all do. The peripheral vision we usually have just doesn't exist in the game and maybe there isn't any way to design a racing game which incorporates it. Maybe a little tiny "out the side window" view in the top corners of the screen? It wouldn't be true peripheral vision, but it would be a way to fake it.
 
finally got a chance to set up my recording equipment for my PS3 and did a test run of it yesterday and had a fairly decent race sadly i didnt recognise anyone from GTP but a nice race none the less.



ill have to do some editing of the videos so that the times are more visible when i upload them to youtube

They're loading too slowly for me to watch, but from the little bit I seen some close bumper to bumper racing.👍
