I have only played GT3 and 4 so my list only includes those.

World Circuits

1. Nurburgring

2. Sarthe 2 - but its only fun in fast cars otherwise Sarthe 1 is better.

3. Suzuka - narrow and challenging from start to finish.

4. Laguna Seca

5. Fuji 2005GT - I don't know why but it just feels 'right'.

City Courses

1. Tokyo
2. Seattle
3.Citta di Aria
4.Rome
5. New York

Original Circuits

1. El Capitan
2. Deep Forest
3. Grand Valley (GT4 full course)
4. Midfield Raceway
5. Trial Mountain

I dont really like rally at all.

1 - Laguna Seca - Perfect for 69 GT40

2 - Infineon - also brilliant for the GT40

3 - El Capitan - NSX's and Ferraris will have a field day on this track

4 - Deep Forest - Just for the looks - it gets more gorgeous every new release

5 - Suzuka - Never cared much for this track but with GT5P it's grown on me in a big way

That I can remember off hand:

1. Laguna Seca (it's been my favorite since GT2)
2. Sarthe I (need I say more? it's a legendary track with a great layout)
3. Fuji F '05 (boring environment with the fresh tarmac everywhere, but I love the track)
4. Motegi (full road course)
5. Infineon (either course)
6. Nordschleife
7. Rome
8. Costa di Amalfi (great tarmac rally circuit)

1.Grindelwad
2.Grand valley speedway
3.Infenion circuit sounth
4.Cote D Azur
5.Seattle circuit

1. The Nurburgring
2. SSR 11-love racing in the dark.
3. SSR 5
4. Deep Forest - my favorite drift course
5. Trail Mountain-has basically become a staple in the GT series

In no particular order ...

Special Stage R11
The only circuit that is not in any of the GT games I own. It's equal parts fun and demanding, and challenges you the whole way through. I was very disappointed when it didn't surface in GT4.

Rome Night
The R11 of GT2. I get what PD were trying to do with this: give you an S-Class licence test on a circuit you'd likely never seen before (unless you got it in a manufacturer race, but there was never time enough to learn it there), but couldn't that have picked a different one? The whole circuit has a great flow to it and some wicked corner combinations. Hence, severly under-used.

Nurburgring Nordschliefe
A fairly predictable entry here (sue me), which deserves its spot because I never get bored with it. Frustrated, yes, but never bored. I love racing on it, but I felt it was mis-used at times ... why wasn't it in GT4's World Championship?

La Sarthe
I love blasting aroun this place in an LMP car. Sure, I probably couldn't do it fo 24 solid hours, but it doesn't matter. If I had to pick one layout, I'd go with the current layout with chicanes, just because they keep you on your toes. Plenty of fun to try and stay ahead of the bad guys in a Panoz Esperante or Peugeot 905, and the driving mission where you're hunting them down over three laps is great.

Hong Kong
I think I'm one of the few who likes Hong Kong, and probably for the atmosphere of it. Sure, it's pretty conventional on paper with all its ninety-degree right-handers and two hairpins, but I love racing on the bridge over water the water in the first sector, and it's quite dificult to nail it at speed without parking her in the armco. A hell of a lot more inspired than New York. It's just so pretty.

Chamonix
You'd probably think it's odd that I'd include the one circuit I can't get right, and I'd be inclined to agree with you. The Peugeot 205 test in the S-Class licence is the sole reason I hate GT4's snow racing - especially the tarmac bits - but Chamonix is a circuit of extremes: Ice Arena is easy, this is devillishly hard. I went for days constantly failing the S-Class test, but when I finally got it right, I got the gold for my efforts.

Suzuka
Because I like to pretend I'm Jenson Button blasting around Japan's most famous circuit in the red, white and green Formula GT.

Nurburgring Nordschliefe, makes you a racer, not just a button smasher, very technical circuit.I have gotten pretty good there, still have some not so shining moments ocassionaly, but for the most part, this is by-far the #1 track.Really there wish there was a download for this track for GT5P.Route 11 a very strong 2nd place, again,it's technical, not for the "need for speed" button smashing clan.Variety of choices for 3rd,lets see:Grand valley speedway-( full ),Suzuka-(full),Laguna Seca,De Lasarthe(both),Deep Forest,Trial Mountain,Midfield Raceway,Seattle.

For me there is only one trully proper track. Nordschleife. Everything else is far below.

I also like Eiger (a bit short, but fun), Costa di Amalfi was also interesting. I missed also Complex String in GT4. Interesting for me was Suzuka. I didn't like it at all never before (in GT series or other simulations I played). But since GT5P it kinda grew on me. It's the best one from the bunch of five in GT5P.

The thing I don't like about Nurburgring is the track is too thin. You barely even need a racing line to be relatively quick there, and hot lapping is nigh on impossible there because it's so easy to lose 0.5sec in one corner. I don't like restarting a 7min lap because I messed up just a little bit 5mins in. Overtaking will also be very hard without accidental contact when we get it online.

It is hard for me to rank the tracks (except the first few choices), so many good and bad experiences on so many tracks through the whole series.

1. Nurburgring
2. Tsukuba
3. Citta Di Aria
4. Eiger

The rest really are not in any paticular order but I really enjoy them

Trial Mountain
Infineon Raceway (sportcar)
Circuit de la Sarthe II
El Capitan
Tahiti road (GT2, not maze)
Rome short (GT2)
Seattle short (GT2)

You like Tsukuba?:yuck: That's another of my least favourite tracks on GT/in the world.

Yeah, it seems to be a love/hate track for most. I love it, one of my low-mid speed testing tracks for standard road cars (which I use 80% of the time).

Yeah, I like it that way, too: it's good for stuff like the MX-5 endurance race, but it's terrible in the races for SuperGT and the like as the cars are simply too powerful. And I despise it in the wet, regardless of what car I'm using.

I love Tsukuba to, its great for testing a cars agility. Pointless on cars with 450PS or more though accept for a bit of fun, there's barely any time to get the power down accept the back straight before the final turn.

As for my rankings.
1. Nurburgring - everyone loves the ring, i knew it well enough to get a gold in the snow on my first time on PGR3 ever in an old 50s-60s F1 car because of my knowledge of it :)
2. Monaco - great tight technical circuit, generally i like the twisty ones.
3. Tsukuba - see above.
4. Grand Valley Speedway - Because its been around so long, it's like an old friend :)
5. Eiger - see 3 and 4
6. Citta Di Aria - yea you get the idea i like tight tracks, this one was a favourite of mine. Probably would be my favourite if we had had GT5 pro physics back then
7. Suzuka - the first section is just fantastic to drive, as if flyin through 130R at 140+mph.
8. Grindelwald - Same kinda thing as Eiger, but this one felt really different at the time which is why i liked it.
9. Costi Di Amalfi? (sp?) - see 6
10. Fuji GT - with so many different lines, with the right people his race can be fantasticly good, i say this from a couple of online races on Fuji F on GT5, but that chicane ruins alot of peopels races which is why i picked the GT variant

1. Trial Mountain - My home turf. Great elevation changes.
2. Complex string - Top speed and grip setup.
3. Nurburgring & Monaco - Courses I love to race on.
4. Laguna Seca - Drift setup.

1. Circuit De La Sarthe (both layouts) - High speeds and high thrills, lol. I love it almost entirely for the Porsche curves and Indianapolis corner, getting those right with a Group C car at 100mph+ just feels awesome. The whole track is just setup for high speed but not so fast that it feels too easy like High Speed Ring or others.
2. El Capitan - Another high speed circuit and i love it for the same reasons, some great corners where I can fly at high speed and keep going without it feeling really easy.
3. Suzuka Circuit - Come to love it after racing it so many times now on GT5P, not necessarily a fast track, but a very testing one that I find great for working out tunes with, due it showcasing how good your turning, acceleration and speed abilites are.
4. Midfield Raceway - A nicely flowing standard race track, thats all the reasoning I need.
5. Apricot Hill Raceway - Also a nicely flowing standard race track, it has a similar feel to Suzuka in many ways but without the tight chicane or 130R.
6. Red Rock Valley - I haven't raced it in a very long time, probably since 2000 or 2001 and I can't remember the layout completely, but I do remember really liking it, especially for the progressively tightening and dropping corner.

As you can see, I like my fast race circuits, I would add the Nurburgring as well, but I'm not sure whether I really love it. I love to drive it for sure, but it doesn't really connect with me. Dunno why.
I also love the really tight circuits too, but I suppose I'm just in the mood for faster circuits right now while typing this list. I bet next week this list might be different.
Anyway, if I was going to mention tight circuits I love too: Monaco, Citi Di Aria, Costa di Amalfi, Rome Circuit, Eiger Nordwand and Hong Kong.

Haha, a hotlappers nightmare. I suppose it's best to have a tune already sorted out before you go to the Nurburgring rather than going to it for a tune. If we get it online, it won't be so bad when we have 16 racers.
Also, although everyone seem's to go on about how hard it is, I dont personally find the Nurburgring that hard, I mean, ok, its easy to lose your consistency somewhere in the lap, but you have the rest of the lap to make it up. Also, I dont normally screw up a lot on it really, you tend to drive low to medium speeds for a large amount of it.
I can see how the narrow track could be annoying online, but if I can find mulitple ways around with the AI, I can find some with players. I just hope we have private rooms for it though, because I can imagine the people who block all the time being highly annoying.

1. High Speed Ring [GT1 "first love"]

2. Grand Valley

3. Suzuka [hated at first!]

4. Infinion

5. Fuji

6. Seattle

7. Le Sarthe

nurburgring
Tsubaka
Midfield raceway (GT3)
Grand Valley
High speed ring
(I love the way you can overtake at the old midfield and the high speed ring)

I like...
Fuji
Midfield
Infineon
Laguna Seca
New York
Nurburg
Grand Valley
Trial Mountain

Its hard to pick a favorite but one of these tracks would be mine.

We should start a thread of your favorite corner in GT. I would have to say the corkscrew.

I like them all but the following are my favorite:

1- Nurburgring
2- Tsukuba
3- Le Sarthe
4- Grand Valley
5- Suzuka
6 - Laguna Seca
7 - Test Course

Hehe might as well.

1.The green hell:sick:, gotta be everyones favourite right? ;)

2.It's between Suzuka and El Capitan, I hope they put El Capitan in GT5, it'll look brilliant. Suzuka is a great testing track.👍

3.Seattle Circuit, great memorys from GT2, love the jumps, although a little unrealistic in a Sports car.:yuck:

4.Test Course. OK I know, it's a n00b track, but it's always been an important part of GT.

5.Le Mans, It's a classic, and it always will be.

6.Special Stage Route 11, gotta have a Drifting Circuit in here.:dopey:

7.Deep Forest, Blind corners, like a city track make it a challenge, but it has twisting circuit like a circuit.

Thats it, maybe i'll find a new favorite in GT5?

1. The 'Ring... completely and utterly intoxicating
2. Deep Forest... such a fantastic flow to the corners, and beautiful to boot
3. Grindlewald... so much nicer than Eiger
4. Chamonix... endless hours of fun in free run

Also like trial mountain

From GT2, i used to love grindelwald, i loved the touge feeling to it. And those sweeping banked corners. Great for RWD cars.

From GT4 and onwards:

The nurbergring - i know every corner, every bump, everything.

Tsukuba - a 47 second lap in my rex has put this as my 2nd favourite ever.

Deep forest - great for drifting and tuning settings.

Capri - brilliant. Get an evo and go play.

not counting real life circuits, and in no particular order:

Deep Forest
Trial Mountain
Grand Valley
Rome
Rome Night
Apricot Hill
El Capitan

I'm surprised there are nt more people liking El Captain....

It number 1 for me!!!

I'm not into street circuits but the best one is seattle.

Pretty much all the others mentioned are cool by me!!!
