I have tried multiple searches before creating this thread. Is there a list of exremely hard to find (rare)cars / paint schemes here on GTPlanet?

A couple of examples are the AC Cobra that is Black with Gold stripes and the '70 Black Cherry Chevelle SS454. I had a level 10 ticket and saw a Blue AC Cobra with white stripes but I was trying for a specific car and let it pass.

This is a question I would think that many GT5 players would want to know. Please point me to a link or hopefully someone has the answers. Thank you in advance.

Although, as it is well documented in these forums, I never like using the word "rare" as it refers to cars in this game, I think it can apply in this situation regarding particular car/color combinations as they appear in the UCD. I had attempted to start a thread some time ago regarding your specific question and nothing really came of it. I do agree with the cars you have listed as being rare color combinations. I have over 2,500 game days, check the UCD religiously and have only seen that AC Cobra in Black/Gold stripes twice. The Black Cherry Chevelle I have seen maybe 4 or 5 times. Maybe this time this thread will generate more interest as I too think its a good topic of discussion.
 
Another hard-to-find car in the UCD that I hear about often is the FTO Super Touring Car. Although I do have 4, people are always trying to get one. Not sure of it is because it is "rare" or just a good car. I've never actually driven it.
 
I have three FTO STC (red, white,blue). I'm collecting race cars in different liveries. The Altezza TC has at least three (black, green, red).

We're more talking about rare car/color combos here and not so much about just the cars in general. I say this because there are already threads out there concerning just the cars themselves. Lets try to keep on topic here otherwise this will just become another "rare" car thread and it will be locked or merged will the other ones. Remember, rare car/color combos.
 
The American Muscle cars must be considered, Some of them have at least 20 different pain jobs, and as Standard cars you only get them in the used lot... so the chance it will select a certain colour really thins it out. (Compared to say... a Shelby 350GT which you only get in one flavour - White with blue twin stripes)

The cup cars could be tough to get in a certian colour - but as many are under 1,000,000 you can trade to get both these and the muscle cars...

However Some racing cars and just plain expensive cars can't be traded - so are much harder to get in your garage.

I suppose one of the obscure ones would be the Orace Viper GTS-R
there is one Dodge branded
and another in Chrysler branded
both red with white stripes
but with different numbers - but you may miss this slight difference when you scan your UCD.

^ So true Ryk. 1 example, the Plymouth 440 SixPack 27 different chips. Light Gold took me months to find, flipping Muscle car ticket and 71 ticket (Pre level 8 ticket ) everyday. now after acquitring all 27 in 0/0/0 form, though 22 have been broken in, I have 3 Light Gold 0/0/0 440 SixPacks...go figure :sly:

The most recently acquired rarity, in my case at least, was the Yellow Mazda Furai. I've got it in all the other colours but the yellow one only showed itself in my ucd last night. (Unless I've missed it along the way, been a daily player since release so it's possible)

There's quite a few, although not able to get to my ps3 right now to check, but I know of 7, off the top of my head - Red, White, Blue, Yellow, Grey, Silver, Green. My personal favourite being the grey,,,

I'll have a look in the morning at what I have and then run a few one-make races to see what other colours appear in the grid to see what I'm missing, but I think that's all of them.

Dang you're lucky, the b-spec prize car I won is matte black, but I have only seen silver and white pop up in the ucd...

I forget what one I won, but the rest of them came from the UCD. I don't have the patience to sit here and grind tickets.

Back on topic. I am 6696 days on one account and 1135 days on my Racin510s and I never saw the black or blue Corbras in the UCD on 6696 day account. I do have all the Furais except the Yellow and Matte Black one. I use the UCD Database about every 5 racing days looking for the cars I mentioned in the original OP.

I was only able to obtain them through trades. If anyone is willing to trade I am interested in the Blue/White AC Cobra. As for the Furai since they can't be traded I just have to hope they show up in my Racin510s UCD at some point.

Thanks for the kind words. Also, I need to correct myself on my gamedays. I actually have 25.381 to date. I left out a number there.

Well thanks Shoe, I appreciate that very much. I try to do what I can. I do have my haters tho, lol. I have enjoyed your posts here on these forums aswell. But enough about me, lets get back on topic here. Thanks again for the kind words, its much appreciated.

Anyone else have any rare car/color combos?
 
I know the ZZII is very rare. What colors are that available in? I have one in silver, and one in a purple-ish color.
 
TVR Cerbera Speed 12 '00 - Chameleon Orange. Only see two of them from the UCD.

Audi R8 LMS Race Car '09 - Brillantrot, Sepanblau Perleffekt. Not see maybe a few of these from the UCD either.

I've yet to see the TVR in the dealer in the orange, but since it retains the decals after painting it's not quite as rare as it could appear. The R8 LMS' on the other hand seem to be pretty thin on the ground in those colours. A few people on my friends list are really envious of my blue and red ones, as they have neither of them.

What colors does the RX7 LM race car come in? I have blue (my favorite) and orange and have been looking for white for awhile.

I have two in red...but no other colors :lol: is it tradable? I could send you red for the orange?

I have a number of them, and have been trying to get them all, but the firm favourite is Black with a white roof. The only tradeable LM/Super Tourer (if I remember correctly) is the Impreza.

The impreza is one of my personal favorite cars. I have one in red/orange, two silver, one black, one white. Is that all of the colors?
 
There may be others, but off the top of my head that's the same as my collection, so it may be all of them.
