ArdenBlau from Opel Tigra is also quite nice, but rare to find, only have 1.

I've seen a few blue Tigra's. Opel like blue, lol. Might not have seen this one, though as I don't follow the names, rather just the shade/texture.

And this has only recently started to interest me - paints and things, never used to. After you've completed A-Spec mostly and try to find things to do, lol, this is a great thing to concern yourself with - i.e. collecting paints or cars in different or all paints.

Yeah sorry, I should have added that I was aware of the Camero being paintable and wondered if any other LM's were paintable too! 👍

Would just like to add, incase others don't already know that the wheels on the Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM and the Mazda RX7 LM can be changed and painted. Those are the only 2 LM cars i'm aware of that let you do that.

Sorry if that's strayed too far off topic!

This wasn't off topic. I love my RX7 LM. Such a fun car

Unfortunately there aren't any others that can be painted, but taking mine into the Top Gear Test Track, (where it's mostly noob 10 year olds singing to themselves) usually results in them all asking me how to get one.
You see I painted one of mine in Matte Black, so they all think it's a new stealth car. Needless to say, I like to play along with their delusion and say things like "it's a new facebook prize,,," and stuff like that. You can sometimes hear them whacking away at their keyboards, frantically trying to get one, which is when I start giving them the runaround with all sorts of false leads and completely made up information!

Tonnes of fun to be had there! :dopey:

That's mean, I love it 👍 who would believe that's there's a standard stealth car.
I can confirm that the wheels can indeed be changed on the Fairlady concept LM and the rx-7 LM although IMO I'm not sure why you would want to change them on the rx-7 as unfortunately the standard wheels look better than any of the after market ones in gt5. 👎

Haha, love this!

The 20 Million Cr. Jaguar in the dealership is paintable, I know this is well known just throwing it out there in case anyone happen to not know! 👍 .. You can paint the Corvette Grand Sport and not lose the stripe on the hood.. Painting the Shelby series 1 changes the stripes to a matte black color... The Nissan GTR 09 CAN be fitted with a special rim and color combination to make the wheels turn form silver to black upon accelerating.. That's some of the odd ones I know

This thread is a mine of information - I did not know this about the Jaguar at all. I love that car, this makes me love it even more :dunce:

Lets keep this thread on topic please. This has nothing to do with rare car/color combinations as they appear in the UCD.

Um, I thought the OP was looking for extremely rare car/paint combinations. Rare cars and some rare paints and rare cars/paint combinations come from the UCD. This thread started talking about cars from the UCD like on page 1.

Edit: This thread https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134403 has a UCD excel document with 2 master lists. It not only lists the car and when you're going to find it, but also the odometer and COLOUR! Looking for a certain car in a certain colour, then skip ahead from the day you're on and you can find out how many days left to get that specific colour.

Agreed, if you want to see a list of paintable cars that retain their stickers etc check this thread, which I have also provided a load of pictures of the results. As for changeable rims on race models, I did a huge test back when 2.05 update came out and all of the results are in this thread. The RX7's can look so much better with new rims, and the Furai is utterly gorgeous with anything. But I digress,,

Here's one which may fit the bill, two-toned Karmann Ghia. I've only got it in this green & cream configuration, but there are apparrently others available. So far this is the only one I've encountered.

(and yes, it's a reasonably good drift car!)

He is, like I said. Example: The 427 Cobra in Black with Gold Stripes. The post I quoted was off topic. The thread is not about what cars can have their rims painted, cars that keep/lose their stripes when painted, stuff like that. He is asking about rare car/color combinations (stock) as they appear from the UCD.

Yes, but you said in your last post:

This has nothing to do with rare car/color combinations as they appear in the UCD.

The Pescarolo C60 Courage comes in two diferent styles: one with red rearview mirrors, the number 18, and also a red piece that surrounds the cockpit. The other one has green rearview mirrors, the number 17, and a green piece. The paint preview (little pint symbol next to the paint name, it is nameless though) is green no matter the scheme. The green one looks better though, as it suits the rest of the car's colours much better, while red stands out as quite awkward.

Yes, but you said in your last post:

Oh my god. The post I quoted was off topic. What do you not understand about that. I quoted a post which was off topic and asked him to stay on topic. Its not that hard to understand, really. I think you are confused yourself.

This thread is not about what cars are paintable. Its not about cars losing their stripes when painted. And its not about colors of rims. Its about car/color combinations as they appear from the UCD. Example: Chevelle in Black Cherry Metallic. Understand now?

Yes this is obvious. And not what I was getting at. But nevermind.

Seriously dude, this makes like the 3rd thread plus PM's from you where you're trying to start crap with me again. Leave me alone. I know what you're up to and its not going to work. What, you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night than harrass me.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...=-1&sortasc=true&page=1&rowsperpage=250&pli=1

I found this link in another thread. It lists all the cars and the different paint colors that are available. This is a very large google.doc and depending on your internet connection take a few minutes to load. It cannot be saved so I just bookmarked the page. It does not however show when they may appear in the UCD.
I hope this helps to make things easier related to the (rare) car/paint combinations issue. As GTP_CargoRat pointed out earlier in this thread there are no rare cars in GT5. He is 25,000+ days into the game and has far more knowledge than I do. So most of you may well never see certain car/paint combinations. Refer to this link and if there is a particular car/paint combination that you are looking for then go the the MarketPlace and try and trade for what you are looking. Honesty, courtesy and promptness go a long way toward getting what you are looking for. Common courtesy is a standard here in the :gtplanet: community so please think before you post because there a many here that will help you as long as you abide by this simple standard.

Finally I wish to personally thank GTP_CargoRat for validating this thread and trying to keep it on topic. He has earned my respect and the respect of many here in the :gtplanet: community.

^ that is a good document.

And well said about CargoRat. I couldn't agree more 👍 respect times 1million

Thanks again for the kind words guys. Its very much appreciated. You, as well as many others, are what makes these forums an enjoyable place. Give yourselves a pat on the back and keep enjoying the game. Peace.

I've yet to see the TVR in the dealer in the orange, but since it retains the decals after painting it's not quite as rare as it could appear. The R8 LMS' on the other hand seem to be pretty thin on the ground in those colours. A few people on my friends list are really envious of my blue and red ones, as they have neither of them.

(I couldn't composite the other cars in well enough, so had to leave a few out)

I just got the Sepanblau Perleffekt color one and its by far one of my favorite blues. So happy it came came with the paint chip. :D

I just have a look at my garage, EuropaBlau from Opel/Vauxhall Speedster, looks almost like a purplish blue metallic, quite rare to have, I only have 2 Speedster with this color so far. I painted my Camaro SS with this paint color, looks great.

Just got one of these now from a Vauxhall Speedster Turbo. It is a really nice colour, too.

2 different black Beetle Cup Cars, numbers 18 and 25. Thought there was only the one in black.

For me, the rarest car and colour combo comes in the form of the Mazda RX7-LM in black number 00.

I need this car and it won't appear.

I just got another rare color combo, same car, Opel Speedster Turbo in LeMans-Grun, a nice green in similar shade as EuropaBlau. The 1st time I have it across 3 accounts :D

Damn I passed over that one in my ucd!

Funny you should mention that because I just picked it up myself. Only for the paintchip though I am not a fan of the speedster.
