Rare Cars & Paint Schemes

I've yet to see the TVR in the dealer in the orange, but since it retains the decals after painting it's not quite as rare as it could appear. The R8 LMS' on the other hand seem to be pretty thin on the ground in those colours. A few people on my friends list are really envious of my blue and red ones, as they have neither of them.

I have all of the Audi's myself. The two I listed were the ones that took me the longest to get. As fo the Speed 12's, I know they can be painted, but I was talking more of rarity as they come from The UCD in that color.
 
I dont think I've ever seen the black/white two tone RX7 LM even going back to previous GT titles. Looks like I have another to shoot for besides the white and yellow. iirc I've also seen a silver or grey in one of the 650pp seasonal races.

Saw one in a 600pp online race. I beat it with my XJ13 :)
 
Duck's car catalogue is a great source for those of you wondering what colours a particular car comes in.

That color variation is the most common one in my UCD... but I don't like it a bit... :crazy:

Don't know if it's rare, but I find the AC Cars 427 in black with gold stripes a strange specimen, I've only seen it once (didn't buy it)... can't remember if that color scheme was available in GT4...

The Cobra was already mentioned in the very first post. And yes, that color combo does seem pretty rare.

Just got the Furai in this colour from the B-Spec Roadster race. Not sure I like it, lol, but never had one this colour before - I've had the black and green and grey, but not this one.

Got pics? According to the list posted about it only comes in Grey/black (#24), Grey/blue (#35), grey/red (#40), and grey/yellow (#10)
 
I've yet to see the Red-White-Green Formula Gran Turismo in the UCD, and I don't see it listed in Duck's Car Catalogue either, but I know I've raced against it in Arcade Mode.

I saw it in the OCD but it was when I first got the game so I didnt buy it. I'm regretting it now though.

If I can remember correctly the Brillantrot R8 LMS was the only available color before PD made available all car colors on the UCD via update... despite that, whenever a R8 LMS appears on my UCD... most of the times it will be the Brilliantrot one...

The Sepanblau... on the other hand, I've only seen it once: In the Online Car Dealership... didn't buy it because I got mine via trade, just before the trade restriction was applied... :)

I've got all mine via the UCD, except the one I won in one of the Spec races.

Friend me (Flogger59). I couldn't upload from the XMB. Fluorescent green/yellow with olive wheels.
 
Opel Speedster Turbo in Europa Blau if I am not mistaken, pretty rare I think, and the paint is awesome, looks great on any car.

Only from UCD, and it's an Opel/Vauxhall color paint, I'll check my garage next time, I think the paint name is correct ( Europa Blau ) not too sure, kind of hazy, will confirm later :)

Edit: I just checked and I do have a Colmarblau from Opel/Vauxhall which is quite nice, is this the one you mean?

I just have a look at my garage, EuropaBlau from Opel/Vauxhall Speedster, looks almost like a purplish blue metallic, quite rare to have, I only have 2 Speedster with this color so far. I painted my Camaro SS with this paint color, looks great.

Without wishing to go away from the topic (i think the question fits in, rare cars, paint schemes!), does anyone know of any LM cars that can be painted? I know the real life race cars can't be painted but what about the ones PD created? And i don't mean RM's or TC's !! Surely to see a painted LM car would be extremely rare?!

I know of one, I think its the camero LM (standard) that can be painted, sorry if this is common knowledge.

Edit: I know you're not supposed to be able to paint race cars so this must be a glitch that may have been patched out since I painted mine chrome orange.

Never knew this - will see if it works - I don't like the original green it comes in.

Edit: Yes I can confirm this does work - I just tried it. Sweet!

This is not off topic - I think it's rather cool that I now know this - changing wheels colours hasn't been much of an interest for me before, but I love the Fairlady Z Concept and might think about changing the wheel colour now.
